Again, fascinating to work with West London College yesterday. So many broad courses and qualifications makes teaching and learning incredibly complex. Over 20,000 students The staff worked REALLY hard on some difficult concepts It was a privilege to work with the staff. Thank you to the wonderful teaching and learning team for organising an epic day of professional learning for staff at West London College. Delighted to play a small part … #TTkitCPD #GuideToMemory #GuideToQuestioning
WLC is located near Baron's Court Station and Hammersmith Station in London. It's also close to West Kensington and Shepherd's Bush, making it easier to rent a house at a relatively lower price than downtown London. London Heathrow Airport, downtown London, Wimbledon, and New Malden, where many Korean restaurants are located. WLC's overall facilities and school system are old, but professors' passion for teaching is far behind any other school. The students enrolled in the EFLCELTA? are from various countries, including Italy, France, Spain, China, Romania, Uruguay, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Egypt and Israel etc. Therefore, it is easy to get close to students from various countries and enjoy various activities. Most of the equipment used in class is old and classrooms are not modern, but the enthusiasm of some teachers is excellent. It's good to learn English and improve your English skills. However, the number of orthodox English teachers among ELS teachers is somewhat insufficient. There are no dormitories operated at the WLC school level, so you have to find a house for yourself. But the school's International Students Office actively counsels students so that they can get a house. There is a cafeteria in the school, so you can use it cheaply, but the menu is not diverse. The library is also operated, but it does not stop students from chatting and chatting in the library, and the staff in the library often makes more noise, such as talking louder. WLC needs systematic improvement to improve the quality of the class. Some EFL teachers are passionate about class, but some are considered inadequate. In particular, teachers such as Sarah and Nick, Meena teach very passionately and try to communicate and communicate with students. I was touched by their efforts. I can give 3.5 out of 5 points for the overall evaluation of this school. WLC also operates exam preparation courses to enter Cambridge University and IELTS. I think the tuition is cheap among the public colleges in downtown London. If you want to learn English at a public college at a low cost in London, it would be good to choose WLC. However, I think schools need more efforts to improve the level of EFL teachers, improve treatment of teachers, and improve classroom facilities. I think that WLC also need more school-level promotion of EFL and to provide a network and a variety of activities for students from various countries to enjoy their London life more. If I have another chance to live in London and improve my English, I would like to choose WLC again.
I visited Hammersmith and Fulham College on 28th February 2024 and last visited 6 years ago. It was almost as time had stood still as the building is as I remember it, with no sign of refurbishment to improve the learning environment. The evidence that this building is worn and tired looking was everywhere. Students are paying the price for years of mismanagement by incompetent senior management. I work at another FE college which is Premier league in comparison.
Beauty and hair teacher name Abigail I asked her to teach me cutting please she told me I don’t have time to teach you. So I’m paying her money to teach me and she told me don’t come to college because you English not good.Im really upset from her and she made me shy on front of my friend .She is made me pay kits box cost me £249.00 plus uniform £44.00 ,any way I sawed no one English was good .
I am a barber and hairdressing student,my teacher is Abigail. She is a supportive and caring teacher and tries to make you understand the lesson completely, and does not leave the student halfway.
Thank you all in west college We had lovely party yesterday @ college. Nowruz has been celebrated in Iran and the Persian diaspora for more than 3,000 years. Its roots are as a feast day in Zoroastrianism, a religion practiced in ancient Persia that viewed the arrival of spring as a victory over darkness
Ealing, Hammersmith & West London College also formally known as "Ealing Tertiary College" is a further and higher education college based across four campuses located in Acton, Ealing, Hammersmith and Southall districts of London, England. The college provides training and development for over 20,000 students from entry level to postgraduate, and is a member of the Collab Group of high performing colleges. The main campus of the college is situated on the north side of the busy A4 dual-carriageway, between Hammersmith and Earls Court.
This college needs fixing. Quite useless really especially MOST teachers. Seen better college I mean way better. So West London College sort your place out! Pretty rubbish to be fair!
IF YOU WANT TO STUDY THE ACCESS COURSE FOR HE. THIS COMMENT IS FOR YOU. Don't go! In short, DO NOT GO. There are many other colleges that may provide a comprehensive and broad understanding than this college, which will surely waste your time with 100%. The distribution of grades is based on randomness. The education system is terrible. The teachers never help the students. He treats you as if you were his servant, nothing more. No less, you have a test to submit and you are evaluated on it at random. If you submit another application and try to discuss the reason for the lack of grade, they will certainly treat you worse and your grades will be reduced. The psychological pressure is that the teachers put excessive psychological pressure on the students by asking them for things that are not academic and illogical, and when you ask them about the reasons for this completely unbelievable pressure! Their response is simple: "This is a course for mature students, not a middle school at all." Absolutely ridiculous. Additional tip: If you expect teachers to respond to the email you sent them, then you are definitely dreaming. You will never get a response to any inquiry. You are completely isolated and demanded of many things that need to be explained to do them correctly and as required, "which they do not want you to do." In short: if you go to this course, you are going to fail with your feet. Good luck.
During Covid it is completely different but even so I expected it to be nicer inside than it was.
