Lovely place with the most delicious food! Just had the pleasure of enjoying a full on English breakfast - hands down the best one I ever had! Also tested the other items on the menu and I can only recommend those as well. Stopping in the B&B over the road and decided to treat myself and what a treat it was! I had to ask especially for the hash browns. But don’t be shy, they’re worth the ask!! Plenty of options to choose from, including vegan hot beverages and cake! Gluten free options are also available. Lots of space to park. Seats available inside and outside weather permitting. Basically a place to make EVERYONE happy - especially dogs! Helpful, friendly and welcoming staff with good recommendations on the food they make, in case you’re spoilt for choice. They’re always happy to help and really dog-loving. Cheers, one happy and full customer!
Had a delicious Biscof milk shake. It wasn't on the menu but I had seen a photo on someone else's review, so asked "and received". Great selection of cakes etc. It was busy even though late in the afternoon, but managed to get an inside photo after some customers left .... quirky and full of character.
Fantastic little cafe. About 3 mins walk off of the Cromford canal trail. Huge portions of apple crumble which is top tier and a giant pot of custard to go with it. Bit loud as its on the side of the road but the hospitality more than makes up for it. The lady running the place came out and even gave our dog a treat too. Make sure you stop by. Parking: 3 right near it Dietary restrictions: All home made food, so knowledge of ingredients
Called in on Saturday as we were passing, small establishment but a wonderful real fire was very welcome on a cold day. I only wanted takeaway food and drinks but every table was full with other customers waiting for a table to come free. Ordered two Lattes a sandwich which came with a bag of crisps and a vegetarian sausage roll. Despite being short staffed the drink and food were quickly served and the staff were welcoming and cheerful. The food was very good quality and the drinks were good quality also. Would definitely recommend, there is also outside seating when the weather permits, also allows doggies, I would imagine it's very busy in summer with dog walkers, cyclists, walkers and drop ins from a very busy road. We look forward to revisiting
We're passed this place so many times but never ventured inside until now. What a wonderful place! Unpretentious, genuinely charming, fabulous food, delightful surroundings, and wonderful staff - it's a perfect café! We'll definitely be visiting here again!
Just had afternoon tea for £13.50 and wow, great selection of sandwiches from salmon and cream cheese to Turkey and cranberry, we also had lime and ginger cheese cake and Bakewell tart - all homemade, I'm also diary free so Rebacca did a total dairy free option for me!! Including vegan cream and strawberry!!!! We had 3 different sandwiches with a selection of different breads, a scone and 3 different cakes with fresh baby leaf salad, side crisps, hot drinks, jams EACH for £13.50 Well worth it
Exellent little roadside cafe we loved every minuit good scones food and coffee as always after a long day or long walk we can both recomend staff are lovely and extremely hospitable my dog was provided with a bowl of water by a lovely young waitress,
Just what the doctor ordered, fancied a hot sandwich, so turkey, stuffing and cranberry it was, on lovely soft brown bread, washed down with a cappucino, then followed by chocolate orange cheesecake, very nice
