We are a busy and vibrant artisan bakery, delicatessen and café in Crich and now also in Matlock, Derbyshire. We sell a wide range of specialist bakery products, home made café food and deli-style groceries. We make bread, cakes, pizzas, pies, quiches, salads, hot and cold snacks, soups and a whole load more deliciously irresistible, top-quality goodies. Most of what we serve is made from scratch and contains no additives or preservatives.

Love the The Loaf. Everything from the daily sour doughs, to the pizza nights, to the bread making courses is done with passion, expertise and the highest of standards. Yes, it gets busy, but that’s testament to the brilliant bakery, cafe and team Roger and Andrew have created. A absolute gem, always worth a trip out to.

Superb breads and cakes/savouries , fabulous friendly and knowledgeable staff, a decent coffee and the dine-in experience is well above the usual cafe/Deli fare. I travel from Nottingham to buy their superb Sourdough breads after stumbling across their bread stall at Chesterfield Market.
