Fantastic group Christmas meal here, with excellent, welcoming and friendly staff who added to the festive atmosphere. The food was delicious and it was lovely, as a vegetarian, to be offered a meal that matched the roast dinner. We were given plenty of vegetables, which are often lacking. I understand the chef will accommodate individual choices, if you just give a couple of days’ notice. How lovely is that! I can highly recommend the place based on our experience.
Staff were very welcoming and service was very good. Room was clean and comfortable and cosy. Food was very good, ordered the Burger dish and asked them to swap fries for the chunky chips, and so pleased I did some of the best I have had. Sticky toffee pudding with home made vanilla ice cream for pudding was very good too.
Had a brunch break during our walk. Very pleasant, friendly staff. Good coffee. Had breakfast sandwiches. Lovely. Walkability: Good place to have a break in your walk.

We visited the cafe yesterday with our dog Bella. The staff couldn't of been more friendly. We visited at lunch time and had sandwiches and drinks. The food was lovely. They made Bella feel at home. She was given treats, a dog bed and a bowl of water. We are looking forward to coming back after your refurbishment.Service: 5/5

Popped in for a coffee to get out of the pouring rain. The staff were super friendly and the atmosphere was cosy. We had plans and couldn’t stop for food this time, but the menu looked great, so we’ll definitely be making a return visit for a leisurely Sunday brunch!Service: 5/5

You will not regret eating here! The staff was very welcoming and helpful. But the best part is the food is amazing! We had the bread which is freshly made, the cheese soufflé, tortellini, and one of the burgers, and the best sticky toffee pudding that had delightful notes of dates and molasses with a vanilla bean ice cream. All of it was very well prepared with obvious attention to detail by someone who appreciates food. The chef and owner was lovely. Would totally eat here again. Walkability: Easily walkable and easy to find Food & drinks: The best food!
