The Overground has got really good during the last several yearsnUse it all the time and pleased to see stations like Camden Road so clean and tidynOne warning I would give about Camden Road is the stairs are very steep and in wet or icy weather could be quite treacherous so take your time, do not rush and take care.nNot sure about disabled access will look around/ask next time I am therenTFL doing a great job looking after our public transport system.
I've been using Kentish Town West to get to Camden market and hadn't been to Camden Road station for a long while.nnI am pleased to see that the station has been modernised, and now includes full step free access from the street to both platforms.nnI think it is still necessary to use a boarding ramp to get on and off the trains.nnThere is also a full gateline now, making it less likely to get an incomplete journey. This includes a wide gate too.nnThe staircases to the platforms are still pretty long and steep, but have central handrails so passengers are split into up and down routes.nnDeparture boards are on each platform and in the ticket hall.nnBecause of the lifts, more staff are on site here than similar sized stations.nnCamden market is less than 10 minutes walk from the entrance, so it's well located.nnCycle racks are available outside and it's possible to pick up and drop off people in the road beside the station.nnOverall a station that meets the needs of most users.
The station fabric remains largely outdated though significant improvements have been made in recent years. The steep stairs need to be negotiated with caution especially after indulging in bout of revelry.nStaff professionally diligent in an environment that’s frankly still a tad queasy.
