Clean modern station but a little open to the elements on the platforms. Very close to the London overground West Hampstead Station and the Underground one. It is quite a confusing area for stations if you are unfamiliar with the area.
Had to use Thames link when the 757 refused to let me on at Finchley road stop just 2 stop away on the jubilee line. Thank god for west Hampstead Thameslink
A nice train station that is served by thameslink trains there is two exits and entrances at this station which has lifts available to the platforms. The station was clean and staff are around in the ticket hall for assistance. There are four platforms which are long for 12 car trains. The Jubilee line and London Overground stations are a two minute walk from West Hampstead Thameslink.
I found this station great. Run by Thameslink company. Nice n cool staff, really helpful. Wide open station, easy to move another platform. Bright n clean station. Easy to have other link services like Overground or Underground which r around this station.
My experience of West Hampstead Thameslink today was an all-consuming sorrow born from the ruins of expectation and a miserable betrayal. The events unfolded as follows:nnI arrive to collect my pre paid ticket at 17:26 and diligently wait for my train, in the absence of sun, it was surprisingly cold.nnThe tannoy announced the 17:39 Thameslink service to brighton, the clock about to turn 19:40. I hauled myself up from the cold metal seat which I had been uncomfortably poised for over 10mins , my crutch in hand and hobbled forward to the platform edge where to my horror I watched the service slow, but not stop, sailing past the platform and out from the station.I was utterly flabbergasted. Brighton was Brandished across the rear driving carriage like a laughing middle finger.nnI waited for the 18:09 service, a miserable 40+ mins in the cold clocked up. To add insult to injury network rail had the gall to mark the departure as only 1min late at 17:40, technically true but without any of the aghast onlooking passenger's! It would not even be a refundable or discounted journey.nnTerrible station, terrible service provider would leave 0 stars if possible.
