Robert and the Kavanaghs team could not have been more accommodating for our wedding breakfast. They produced a delicious afternoon tea, including gluten & dairy free options, and a wonderful cake. The room is beautifully decorated but they allowed us to add our flowers and decorations too. We can't thank them enough and would highly recommend holding any event with them.
Had a 5 minute wait as we hadn't reserved a table, lunch time was very busy. Good food and service. Nice atmosphere. Plenty of choice on the menu. Will definitely return.Food: 4/5
From the outside Kavanagh's looks quaint but we were shown to a rather dated and shabby room at the back. Food was ok in fact and the service was pleasant but the loos were not good , no hot water for hand washing and a customer near our table incessantly blew his nose.
Whaaat an absolute delight! Lovely, warm, welcoming staff who are so polite, genial and friendly. You'd come back for the service alone. I had Marimba hot chocolate, which was divine. This is a licensed premises too. Genteel atmosphere, a calm haven. Several rooms. Prompt service. Additional upstairs seating. Oh, and I got carried away with eating the lovely fruit scone, so much so that I didn't take its photo until I had eaten half.... whoopsies! So don't be deceived by the photo as the cake and portion sizes are generous. A lovely experience. Would I recommend or revisit? No brainer, a big fat emphatic, "Yessirree!"
Lovely place with original house features maintaned as mwntioned before this is Grade II historical house. Good coffee with milk and biscuit no extra charge for both and tea with extra boiled water. Nice snack in form of sandwitches and crumpets and good cheesecake to the coffee. Really nice spot in the centre of Beverly. Great alternative to all-the-same looking Starbucks or other chain coffee shops. Will definitely visit again.
Lovely building to sit in and chat you could get the history whilst waiting for your food. Staff were very attentive and facilities were good especially the downstairs loo! Food was second to none in my opinion definitely somewhere I recommend. However due to its popularity please book your table first to avoid disappointment.Food: 5/5
I've been a few times, every time the staff are particularly kind and friendly and the food is wonderful. High quality and big portions make this place good value for money. I would highly recommend a visit if you're nearby!
This is a cafe I return to every time I am in Beverley. The service and food is always splendid. I don't understand why a reviewer would call it shabby as it defiantly is not. It is a listed building and still has a lovely welcoming atmosphere. It is bright and airy in spite of the age of the building. A favourite when I am in UK. Thanks.
Lovely place and food delicious. We were lucky to get a outside seat and enjoyed people watching in the sun! Staff very friendly. I couldn’t fault it apart from one toilet for the whole place!
Did not have food so cannot comment. Coffee ok, not very strong. I wanted oat milk and was told that this was extra. Never had to pay extra for milk before!Service: 5/5
