Story

Welcome to Lempicka Cafe, the Afternoon Tea House, Bakery and Ice Cream Parlour.
Our renowned, award winning afternoon teas with a continental twist are delicious and available with classic, vegetarian, gluten free, vegan and child-friendly menus.
Lempicka has a full range of locally produced fresh-from-the-farm Cream of the Wolds ice cream which can be made as milkshakes, sundaes, crepe/waffle toppers or just simply delicious in a waffle cone. Additionally we have a full range of homemade baked goods including cakes, scones and teacakes and of course our artisan espresso based coffees and teas.

Me and my friends went for afternoon tea for a hen party. It was absolutely amazing!!! They could do enough. One of the guests were vegan and they did a complete vegan friendly afternoon tea that looked amazing and my friend really enjoyed. Another guest was super fussy and again they made up a beautiful afternoon tea selection. Food was amazing!! Signature cocktail was to die for and staff were brilliant. Thank you!!! We shall be returning!!
Been here a few times now for afternoon tea! What can I say, the food, presentation & atmosphere, fabulous! The staff are wonderful, nothing too much for them, Tina came to our table & went through the beautiful display of homemade quiches, sandwich's and cakes! Delicious! I will be back again soon!
Great afternoon tea for children, good value too. Plus available as dairy free. Customer service was lovely. And gluten free brownie was tasty and squidgy, and was perfect with the hot chocolate which is made with chocolate!
Am absolute delight! Perfect from entering to leaving! 10/10 for choice, perfect sized sandwiches, pasteries and cakes! 10/10 for crockery, tea cups, that got refilled! And a big 10/10 for a glass of fizz! A bonus was the manager serving us, who you could see had a lot of pride in what she does! Thank you for looking after us ladies today, see you very soon!
At very short notice the fantastic people at Lempicka pulled together the most splendid afternoon tea that was free-form eggs, milk, seeds and nuts! A very special treat for my little boy who had eyes as big as saucers. Thank you so much, delicious food, lovely location, very good value and fantastic service! Xx
Went on Saturday to treat my mother to afternoon tea and what a treat it was. Such personal service, quality of food excellent and a lovely slant to the standard afternoon tea. I couldn't resist looking at other customers food and it all looked wonderful would be spoilt for choice. I would recommend a visit to this charming and cosy café as you certainly won't be disappointed
Mediocre gluten free offering and expensive by comparison to other local choices; couldn't recommend over local alternatives. Alright if you need something in a rush, otherwise you have better options. Looking at other meal options, they seemed equally unimpressive. Clean and tidy interior though seating seems to be an issue; staff are ok but absorbed by socially between themselves. Shop around if you have time.
this is the 2nd time we've been here and had stale cake!! we used to really enjoy our visits here but after our last trip wont5 be returning!! the cake was like sawdust!! the coffee was way to hot and didn't even taste of coffee and the waitress didn't seem a peoples person at all! Very disappointing....
Good setting for watching the world go by. Service is poor. Today I was served coffee spilt all over the saucer in a clearly overfilled cup. Waiter apologized but left cup and saucer filled with a sticky mess and soggy biscuit. He returned with a napkin and gave it to me to clear up the mess. Unbelievable!! How many restaurants out there expect the customer to clear up after the staff. Very disappointing.
Lovely little artisan café...Great coffee. Locals are utterly relaxed & absorbing all the Yorkshire accents around me is a fascinating experience. People are relaxed and at home here
