Fantastic service and good food. Cool if you like bikes
Lovely food, you can tell the produce isn't shop bought. We will always return there. Cater for toddlers with high chairs, they allow dogs in. There is also lots of seating downstairs. It's a cycle cafe as they have bike racks & there are always avid cyclists visiting. It's a nice atmosphere.Food: 5/5
The best cafe we found in 400 miles cycling from Devon to Yorkshire. We were made to feel really welcome, the coffee was good and strong, the breakfast was amazing and the cake portions were very generous. The owner was very chatty and helpful with recommendations for the local area. I wish we were local so we could come back!
Great sandwiches but hot chocolate was very poor - looked liked milky frothy water - and we were made to feel bad for complaining. Owner never said a word, just stood at the end of the counter and stated.Food: 5/5
We only had coffee, so I can't comment on the food but it was the worst coffee we've had for many years, very weak and couldn't even taste it. It's a shame because the atmosphere was nice and it's dog friendly.Service: 4/5
Excellent coffee stop. Fantastic selection of cakes, brunch and lunch. Indoor parking for your bike, superb memorabilia on display with photos and frames, tshirts and more. If you are stopping in Beverley you must visit here. The fried egg buttie is a winner. See you on the road!
We've been in Cafe Velo twice and both times have had a warm welcome and very nice food. This time I had the club sandwich which was huge and had egg in it, which I've not had before in a club sandwich but which was great. Helen had the toasted tuna cheese melt and Oscar had ham and cheese toastie. You can tell the ingredients are high quality and it's all put together well. The owner seems to talk to a lot of the customers and cares that people have had a good experience. Price is reasonable. Little more than a greasy spoon but well worth it.
My husband and I found this gem of a cafe whilst wondering round Beverley town centre. It is a cycling themed cafe with pictures of cycling events on the walls. They have bike hooks on the wall so you don't have to leave your bike outside. The owner uses locally sourced produce, they have a varied menu at reasonable prices, the coffee which is also locally sourced is one of the best cups of coffee I've ever had.
Fantastic themed coffee shop, great coffee from locally sourced supplier #theblendingroom and great cakes. This is going to be a regular go to place.
