Amazing food. Decided last minute to dip in for some lunch, and was not disappointed. I got fish and chips, wife got fish pie. Both spot on! Decent range of grub, beers/wine/spirits and beverages. Will be coming back!
Lovely cafe, and my new go to place in Beverley. Relaxing, and the staff are friendly. The food and drink are delicious, and they cater for my gluten intolerance. The chocolate brownies are lovely, can't wait for my next visit!
Great little café with such a wide variety of menu options. We came today to have a birthday brunch and it was all quite delicious. I had the "smaller" full English although still very substantial as it turns out! and my husband had the special eggs Royale. Both were delicious. I was going to have a fried egg with my full English until I noticed the lady sat next to us having the most creamy looking scrambled egg so went for that and was very glad I had done as mine was beautifully creamy too. Great food and great service, hopefully we'll get chance to come back whenever we're next in Beverley as the rest of the menu was just as tempting!
Early lunch with my mum & I honestly cannot fault this place. Food was lovely & service was fantastic. What a lovely team! Will definitely return.
Tried Vanessa's for the first time with my daughter for lunch, I had fish cakes and my daughter had fish goujons both came with a little salad, great if you only want something light to eat. Very tasty. I would definitely recommend and will visit again. Take note they were very busy as we hadn't booked we had to wait a few minutes for a table and meal took a little while to arrive but certainly worth it, and staff were lovely.
Very popular. Had to wait 10 mins for a table for lunch; the person in front said it was the best deli in Beverley. I had an interesting bowl of soup and a half sandwich - a great idea I had not seen previously. No bread left to buy and take away. Best to get there earlier.
Waited 40 minutes for the food to arrive after the cup of tea.. the soup was cold the sandwich had gone a little bit hard but the chips were volcanic.. I think this place has become a victim of its own success ! Food is usually really good but wouldn't rush back now
Went for breakfast, took a bite of the sausage and instantly knew it had chemicals on it by taste and smell. Spat it out and called the waitress across, she took it back while I was sick in the toilet. While this was happening the kitchen were arguing and pointing at the table my guest was left at making them uncomfortable. Ask for the bill and the only thing they did was remove a drink but had to pay for the food. Shocking customer service. Do not go unless you want to be poisoned, I've contacted the council so they can be inspected. Awful people managing it, the waiting staff were ok
Ordered their AfterZoom Tea Party for 2 people and had ourselves a little picnic on the Westwood. Unfortunately we had a little wait to collect the order as something had gone wrong but they were very apologetic and sorted the problem quickly. A tiny bit frustrated to find there were open sandwiches one of my pet hates however they were yummy and cannot be faulted on taste, merely my personal preference. The whole thing was excellent especially the chocolate brownie slices. I strongly recommend you try it, you will not be disappointed!
Freshly roasted and freshly grounded coffee only can give such a wonderful creamy espresso. The scone and cream are also superb. Steak sandwich looks delicious. The place also has delicatessen at ground floor.
