Nowhere better in the Brough area. Great food, freshly made. Gets busy but worth the wait. Friendly staff.
My favourite. Cannot fault the cafe. Everyone is treated in a friendly way. Many of the locals who use it are known personally to the staff giving the cafe a very family feel. It gets noisy when full, particularly with children which makes it even more homely. Favourite menu choices are eggs Benedict, scrambled eggs with smoked salmon and the potato wedges.
Stopped here for breakfast before embarking on a longish walk along part of the Wolds Way. Food was freshly cooked, very tasty and very reasonably priced. Cafe is bright and modern and seems to be extremely popular serving a good selection of food and cakes. Would definitely go back if we're in the same area. We'll worth a visit.
Lovely staff, coffee is great. Offer full English breakfast at a reasonable price as well as good vegetation options and lunch menu. The desserts and cakes always look amazing!
Attended for a pre booked event, staff were lovely, location easy to find. Food provided for the event was nice, the cake looked lovely. Although it was communicated that I was coeliac, I was provided with a gluten free sandwich with my choice of filing although when the cake came out I wasn't offered an alternative even though I paid the same as the other ladies for the event.
After numerous attempts to have my breakfast cooked to my liking and exact specification I had to give up attending this Cafe. Like how many times do I need to say well done please..? I've even gone so far as to specify, hard yolk well done bacon please... aĺl to no avail. So I will no longer be spending my gold coins here....
Whenever we visit our friends in Brough - usually a drunken affair! - we always go for a long walk before heading home. We head out around the airfield, along the river and come back through town and without fail, we stop at this little cafe for the best hot chocolate and carrot cake IN THE WORLD!! The cafe is always busy - which speaks to the excellence of the fare on offer - the ultimate hot choc is simply awesome and well worth the four or five mile walk! If you are in the area or have to drive in, do yourself a favour and stop here!
Love cafe indulge. Always good food and a lovey cafe. Visit only marred by loud baby shower who seemed to want to take over place much to dismay of the other customers. We went and sat outside. Usually really good and amazing cakes
First time I have visited, found staff very friendly and polite. Food was all cooked to order with a excellent selection, and a wide choice. Will defiantly be visiting again.
I have been using this cafe for a number of years now, today i fancied my usual bubble and squeak and seated myself against a sunny window. The cafe had just this table left or a very small one in a dark and dingy corner. A waitress came over to me and asked me to move saying i couldnt sit alone at this table. She suggested i sit in this dark corner because there were two people who wished to sit in my place. There wasnt a reserved sign on the table but she insisted i could not sit there alone and asked me to move. I was astounded upset and angry......i did move. ....straight out of the cafe and wont be going back there......i have informed friends who go regularly too. It has become somewhat of a creche with young mothers and babies being allowed to scream and screech and throw packets of sugar on the floor.
