Mine & my friends stay at Royal Leonardo hotel at the weekend made our stay in Birmingham. The hotel and room was beautiful and we received outstanding service throughout, the staff were very friendly and accommodating. The breakfast was that nice that we went up for more! No complaints what so ever! We will definitely be back!Rooms: 5/5
This was booked for me as a business trip and I was very happy. Good amount of parking here, gym, bar, restaurant. The check-in was quick and efficient, and the staff were polite and helpful. Great rooms and an ideal location for the city centre. The breakfast was perfect. Loved my stay here. Rooms: The room i had was spot on, reasonable views, extremely comfortable and great amenities included in the room Nearby activities: Plenty to see and do around this area
First time staying at this hotel and it was a good experience. Customer service was excellent, rooms are of good size with your usual amenities. Rooms are equipped with a small fridge, tea / coffee making facilities, iron, hairdryer and toiletries. Some parts of the hotel do feel slightly run down. Plenty of car parking spaces but they are very tight. Very close to the city centre and plenty of restaurants close by.
Stayed here for one night with my 8 year old daughter and loved it. Staff very friendly and all found the time to chat with her and make her feel welcome. Rooms are very luxurious. Food is amazing and it's a superb location. Less than 2 minutes away from Sea Life which was our reason for traveling to Birmingham. Highly Recommended.Rooms: 5/5
Great hotel friendly staff, food is excellent. It's a huge hotel . Handy having a bar too. It's just a short walk from the canal where you can find lots of different places to eat and drink. Sadly you have to pay for parking for 2 days it cost us 33 pounds. The car park does have a regular security presence.
I checked into the Leonardo Royal Hotel yesterday and just checked out today, and I’m feeling quite conflicted about my stay. The hotel is clean, beautifully designed, and the bed was incredibly comfortable. However, I had a couple of experiences that left me feeling uncomfortable, especially as a young woman traveling. At check-in, despite being the one who booked the hotel, the staff member kept looking to my husband for answers instead of addressing me directly. It was disheartening to have to repeat my personal information while he sought confirmation from my husband. I understand he might have been new or more comfortable with a male guest, but it felt off to me.At that point, I just let it go. The breakfast experience added to my discomfort. When we arrived at the restaurant, I assumed we could find our own seats, but I noticed the same staff member leading other couples to tables. It felt exclusionary to be ignored in that way, especially after I had provided our room number twice, only for him to look to my husband for confirmation. While I appreciated the hotel’s amenities and location, these interactions really affected my experience. I’ve lived in this country for 13 years and have dealt with various forms of discrimination, but this was the first time I felt so overlooked in a hotel setting. Unfortunately, despite the appealing aspects of the hotel, I don’t think I’ll return. I shouldn’t have to pay for an experience that made me feel uncomfortable.
Lovely hotel, lovely rooms, they have everything you need. The breakfast is wonderful and the staff are a delight, from reception to breakfast. The breakfast is plentiful and there's even a lovely chap doing omelettes. He was friendly and done a lovely omelette xRooms: 5/5
The room was spotless, and the staff was very friendly. The extras in the room that could be requested were an amazing personal touch. When we approached the outside looked dismal but inside exceeded expectations. We would rather their focus was on the inside than the exterior. Huge bed, wide variety of complimentary coffee, tea, water. The attention to detail was amazing from the exclusive toiletries, extra soft towels to the salon quality hairdryer and personalised touches. Complimentary arrival drinks and fruit was a lovely touch. The room was spacious and the bed was extremely comfy couldn't say a bad word about hotel not sure why not 5* Xx Rooms: The rooms were more than equipped, large and well stocked with complimentary drinks. The large bed was extremely comfy and if anything else was needed from hair clips and straighteners to bath robe and slippers these are all available on request. Nearby activities: This is a very short walk from the arena and nearby bars and restaurants Safety: The security of an evening checks room numbers and names. This made me and my wife feel extra secure.
First time visited Birmingham. We wanted to see the Frankfurter Christmas Market and find a nice place to stay over. Leonardo Royal Hotel was a great choice, beautiful and stylish lobby area with a Bar and the room was so comfortable and nicely decorated. Especially the bathroom, we had very luxury feeling with The White Company products. The room was a great size with a comfortable bed and a nice signature armchair. The coffee corner was very selective with different types and flavours of Tea and Coffee with a pice of shortbread , also we’ve got a free 2 bottle of water. Have to highlighting one of the best things about the TV. It was a smart Television that had a connection to Netflix. We have used the gym which was again super stylish and very well equipped with all the tools you might need. About the food we had breakfast I don’t think I ever seen in UK this kind of rich selection of buffet breakfast. Me who is intolerant gluten and lactose, I had a huge selection either food and drinks. Highly recommended from my heart this hotel to everyone who planning to visit Birmingham.
Good location in the center. In fact it is rather 3 star hotel.Executive single room smallish with very basic furniture. Not even a single drawer to keep your small things inside. Bathroom small and crowded. Again no cabinet or drawer in the bathroom. No executive amenity pack in the bathroom as they claim. Housekeeping I noticed they just make up the bed but no carpet cleaning. Breakfast limited and same variety everyday. Staff are nice and helpful. AC fan was making noice and they fixed it right away. Part of the curtain fell down and they came immediately and was fixed. So overall my experience was good given the hotel location and good service. Needs more attention to breakfast.
