Went for Sunday Lunch. Booked for 12.30 on arrival advised food not served until 1.00. Didn't have drinks requested, heating was not on, menus only had option of 5 x pies!! 1 of which only 2 available. Eventually served at 14.40, food OK but overall experience - not to be repeated! Photos bore no relation to our experience.
We were just looking for a nice place to eat, driving up the motorway, found this on the internet, so pleased, great atmosphere, delightful food, well worth the visit. Food & drinks: Great. Toulouse sausages in onion gravy and mash. Scrumptious.
Just had a Sunday lunch for mother's day only to find food only warm, service very slow, had to request menu and had to request cutlery for the desserts. Really disappointing for £25 per head would of expected better. Food & drinks: Slow service very disappointed
Set for a birthday dinner. Changed hands since last time we came. Selection reduced with little in the vegetarian line for children.Service: 3/5
Lovely cosy atmosphere with the fire and pleasant food. Met some family here and had a good experience. Probably a good place to visit after the Aerodrome.
The food was disappointing, to say the least. Chilli con carne was mostly beans, The staff were great though.
Great food, lovely service and the choice of ales and lagers on tap are plentiful.
The beer is very, very good but on the expensive side. A pint of Green King Abbott Ale is nearly £5. The pub is clean with plenty of tables to sit. The atmosphere is perfect for a group to meet up and have a good old fashioned catch up without having to shout. The food is also expensive but again, very nice and the portions are good. Well worth a visit.
Beautiful olde pub, staff were friendly and efficient, service and food were incredible...without a doubt the best burger I've had 8oz marrow and steak burger. The selection of beer and spirits is again second to none. Outstanding pub, great food and very reasonable prices too.
New owners doing well, place looks good, beer getting there, staff excellent .
