Fantastic pub/restaurant! The staff here were really welcoming, the looked after us and our dog really well. Lauren was fantastic and a credit to the team here! The pub manager was also very friendly and accommodating. This venue is really cozy, the food is delicious and good value. I'd recommend a selection of the small plates for Tapas dining. We really enjoyed dining here and looking forward to coming back again.
Delicious food on their reopening night and super friendly staff. We’d not visited before but will certainly be back again. If you are driving through the village or in the area, make sure you pop in. You won’t be disappointed.
Lovely, homely & welcoming cottage pub! Popped in for a quick bite, thinking it'll be another country pub but was pleasantly suprised by the quality of not only the food, but the venue and professionalism of our waiter. Would definitely recommend!
A lovely looking building both inside and out. But we were rather disappointed overall. The food was expensive for what it was - basic and hardly inspiring menu. We got the impression the management of the place was the issue, not the staff. The knickerbocker glory for instance - we had two. One had banana on it, the other didn’t. No chocolate sauce. Odd. When we went to the bar to order a drink, the engagement was diffident at best, some might say rude. Plenty of staff including the manager but we were left standing like prunes waiting. When there was a need to replenish a bottle of wine, again no interaction or apology whilst we waited for the manager to get more bottles. So it felt like a lack of management control is the issue overall. And despite several personal recommendations the consensus was we won’t return.
Have wanted to try the Royal Oak for ages and we really weee not disappointed! The staff were the most helpful, friendly and welcoming you can hope for. The menu food and atmosphere is good for an occasion or a relaxed and social meal, or a romantic meal for two. So glad we came and will definitely be back - highly recommend!
My partner and I went to The Royal Oak and had our first ever English Sunday roast. It deserves so many more than five stars. The new owners since July and staff were so friendly and accommodating, the food was spectacular and the brand new fireplaces made our experience toasty and warm. We would love to spend every Sunday here
Had an excellent lunch to celebrate our anniversary! The service was friendly and efficient, the food was delicious and despite the fact that the restaurant was busy, we never waited long. I recommend this pub highly!
Amazing roast beef. Possibly our new favourite Cambs Cuisine restaurant. Josh and all of the staff were lovely. Possibly could do with turning the heating up a notch.. but it was -3 outside
Great wine selection, starters where excellent but the meat of the hamburger was too fatty for my taste actual clumps of fat mixed with the meat. Desserts where delicious!
Amazing service! Superb food! Can recommend the muscles for starter! It was great to have delicious muscles in an original sauce. The pork belly was also amazing! Gemma, is an amazing head chef!
