We had a lovely time at the pub, staying overnight after a family supper. The pub is very welcoming, the staff are charming and extremely happy to help, as well as all loving dogs. Ours was treated royally and welcomed everywhere. Comfortable rooms and a great breakfast made our stay very enjoyable. We got sent out on a super walk around the Faccomb Estate which was delightful. Highly recommended.
Gorgeous place in a beautiful location with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Meals were beautifully presented, tasted great and service was attentive and friendly despite it being a busy lunchtime. Would definitely recommend for a special meal or for foodies. Will come back for another visit as soon as possible.Food: 4/5
Wonderful pub, came as a group of 6 for a Saturday lunch as it was a birthday weekend for two of us. The food, service, atmosphere and pub dogs were all AMAZING. Beautiful location as well - would recommend this place to anyone and I will be back :Food: 5/5
Lovely pub, great food with some unusual options. Helpful staff, comfy surroundings. Very dog friendly, lots of canine visitors - maybe not a good choice if you're allergic to pet hair!Food: 5/5
We walked up from Ashmansworth in our wellies and they welcomed us in, even with our dog. Lovely warm atmosphere to the place, filled with locals, which made you feel at home. We only stopped for a drink but they did all they could to make your experience as good as it could be. Can’t wait to return next time I’m in the area.
Lovely pub with great ale and also do tea and coffees....immaculate surrounds...imagine this would be a great summer venue. I'm not a doggy lover but this ticks all the boxes for those of a different canine persuasion! Also quite close to the Wayfarers Way if you are on a walking route.. Parking: Big car park
Amazing and delicious food, however, found the service slow and pushy at times. They kept reminding us that we had to leave by a certain time, meaning by the time our food came we only had 45 minutes to eat our main and finish up. Pricing is on the more expensive end of pub dining.Food: 5/5
We really enjoyed this place. Lovely atmosphere, friendly staff with good service. Popped in for a light lunch during a walk.
We had a dinner in The Jack Russel. Amazing food, special location and beautifuly decorated building. It is a shame our chairs and underneath the table were quite dirty. It is also a bit pricier than other similar places but the quality of the food was absolutely spot on.
We visited the Jack Russell as part of our trip to the Hampshire and was not disappointment. Beautiful pub and delicious food. We are looking to stay next time.
