For most live shows, the venue is open from 7pm to 11pm.

Absolutely fantastic venue mostly due to the lovely staff, I’ve never felt so welcomed and everyone was so polite. Drinks prices did not feel hideously expensive for London / gig venue. Our evening was saved when my husband who has a pain condition thought we’d have to leave as he couldn’t stand, the head of security arranged for us to go upstairs to the seating area even though our tickets were for downstairs, honestly saved our night.
I came here to see Mallory Knox's reunion tour and had a great time. Sound system: 4/5 - the bass overpowers the rest of the mix and reverberates parts of the venue which gives an unpleasant buzz. They still did a good job at instrument separation - I have heard a lot worse! The view: 5/5 - I was on the balcony in the centre and this is one of the best balcony experiences I've had at a gig. You don't feel too high up and the performer's natural eye line is almost where you are sat. Security: 4/5 - Queue was well managed on entry and exist and for the merch stalls. Only bags were checked on entry however which isn't as secure as some venues I can't comment on the drink prices as I didn't have one. On the whole, a decent gig venue and I would return!
Great venue for live gigs. It was great to see Randall King perform here. I went up to the balcony where in it has a great view of the stage. I'm a fan of country music so would definitely come back for another country music gig.
Great venue for the Drake Milligan gig and met the man outside! It was well run, staff are friendly and helpful and are very lighthearted in their approach to security and management which makes for a thoroughly pleasant experience. We would definitely come back!
We visited the Assembly Hall to see hip-hop legends Arrested Development perform live in London. They were popular as the venue isn't that large and it was packed out. The band put on a great performance and the crowd really got into it. That said it's not a perfect venue as it doesn't seem to have air-con and we became very warm even though we weren't dancing. Also the audio mix wasn't that great as you couldn't make out what the vocalists were singing over the wall of sound. Finally the toilets are pretty poky but at least they're clean. Still it was a good show and it wasn't particularly ruined by any of these issues. But it could have been better which is always a slight disappointment.
Saw Blancmange & Remainder last night who were as good as ever!.. Great night, love this venue- we got right to the front, but the raised stage means you can see from almost anywhere- seated area upstairs is great- good pint of Red Stripe too!!
This is the first time I had been to the assembly hall. Lovely venue, akin to a town hall. Acoustics we're great, it's intimate and you have a great view even at the back. Has a regal feel to it and everyone is so friendly. I really recommend it.
Friendly venue. Not too big, not too small. Excellent atmosphere! I went to see Terrorvision there. 2 bars. They even had jugs of water and cups on the bar as it was very hot! Only issue was queuing for the bar once the venue filled up. Waited for quite a while then gave up and poured myself a water!
Attended a Ryan Adams concert tonight. We found the staff to be extremely friendly and welcoming. The seats downstairs were comfortable, with tonnes of legroom. Toilets were a little dated but were clean and well-stocked. Gig was acoustic, but the sound was fantastic. Would definitely come here for a future concert.
Great venue for gigs, big enough to host a good number and you are close to the band no matter where you stand. No obstructions to your view either. Easy access to the bar and toilets. Very convenient for the tube. Five stars
