Visited to Watch Maro's live music show and it was my first time visiting. Absolutely gorgeous for stuff that is more acoustic, live and intimate! Great venue.
Great place for a live venue. I went to see Infinity Song for their first live London show and it was incredible. There’s seating on the ground and one level up; both offering great views of the stage. There is no allocated seating so you should get there early for your ideal seat. There is usually a queue to get in so there is most likely going to be a bit of a wait . There is also a bar and toilets inside too.

A great presentation and a great building. Let down unfortunately by poor organisation. Would have been good to have helped direct people to seats and made it clearer which seats were ‘reserved’. In the absence of this there were many confused people not sure where to sit. The MOR music played on the PA Crowded House, Dire Straits etc during the long wait and the break was out of character with the occasion - a talk about the influence and importance of ancient India by William Dalrymple in support of his new publication. Perhaps some Indian music would have been appropriate? The seats are really hard after more than an hour too, would advise taking cushions.
Visiting a few months ago for the first time. Was an amazing experience and had a great time. Had 3-4 acts spread across a few hours. There were regular breaks, but probably a bit too regular for my liking. Sometimes a 20min break went on for 30mins and dragged out the evening a bit. But the acts were 100٪ and would highly recommend to anyone! Very close to restaurants etc. Go visit!
The Union Chapel venue for a comedy night was a delightful experience. The historic setting added charm to the evening, and the lineup of comedians kept the audience entertained throughout. Backyard Cinema run an immersive live cinema experience, this month it was Romeo and Juliet set to a live choir and orchestra/musicians. The audience was set on a stage set up as a scene from the movie. The people here are helpful, the security is firm but polite and kind and not aggressive. The bar is located at the top of this beautiful church but be aware that no alcohol is allowed in the Chapel itself. A beautiful experience and highly recommended.
A beautiful venue for live music, with gorgeous lighting. There's ground and upper seating which both offer decent views of the stage. However if there's a particular view/seat you'd like for a popular event, I'd recommend arriving at the chapel at least 30-45 mins before the doors open since a long queue can form. Toilets available at the venue.
this place has some magic about it. when you walk in and see the stained glass at the back you just know they many people have had beautiful and profound moments in here over the years. the acoustics are great so live music sounds wonderful here. can't wait to go backVisited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedYes
