Good choice of venue for press and marketing events. I attended for a Christmas pr show which was excellent. This centre is a good blank canvas over two floors for business functions.
My friend and I attended the Sicily food fest and it was an enjoyable experience. We booked the tickets on Eventbrite for £5. At the venue there were different stalls selling different foods and other Sicilian products. My friend and I bought 3 arancini spinach & mozzarella, ham & cheese, and nduja - they were quite filling. We also bought ice-cream, cream and chocolate doughnuts, and blood orange juice. They were selling other products like cannoli Sicilian dessert and fresh pasta, octopus etc. we enjoyed ourselves.
My recent business trip to London involved a three-day stay at a notable business venue in the city. The venue, while impressive in some aspects, presented a mixed bag of experiences, highlighting both its strengths and areas needing improvement. Firstly, the venue's interior is undoubtedly its strongest suit. Upon entering, one is greeted by an aesthetically pleasing environment. The design is modern and sophisticated, with an attention to detail that creates a professional yet inviting atmosphere. This aspect of the venue makes it a potentially excellent choice for hosting business events and meetings, as it sets the right tone for a professional gathering. However, a significant downside is the parking situation. The venue offers parking facilities, which is a plus in a bustling city like London. But the cost of £36.00 per day is steep, even by London standards. For guests staying multiple days or those on a tight business budget, this can add a considerable expense to the overall cost of the event or stay. The food served at the venue was another area that fell short of expectations. While it is understandable that catering for business events can be challenging, the lack of variety and the repetition of the same menu on two of the three days was disappointing. Food plays a crucial role in the overall experience of a business event, and variety and quality are key. The underwhelming culinary experience at this venue detracted from the overall satisfaction. In conclusion, while the venue impresses with its interior design and professional ambiance, it is let down by its high parking fees and the lackluster culinary experience. These aspects could be significant considerations for businesses planning events or individuals attending them. The venue has great potential, but attention to these details could enhance the overall experience for its guests.
Good events and exhibition space. Bit short of seating with plug sockets. Good location close to the Angel underground. Premier inn right next door and I'd recommend the Skinny Kitchen for food and Flight Club for evening entertainment.
Big, warm, light and filled with cafes and restful corners among the displays of exhibition. 5min from the Angel station, Northern Line. I visited it today for The London Art Fair. It is big/small enough to cover in 3-4 hours if planning a one day visit. I personally love the space. But be ready for a ticket finding surprise. Second time I could find the ticket sent to me : and the person in front of me had the same issue. But staff are great
Great staff and facilities but I wish the air con or fans were more plentiful for warmer days.
A bit of a strange place, about half a mile up from the Angel tube station. Tucked back off the main road, the BDC hosts smallish events & conferences of all types. These are normally in the central atrium space, although when you're there, you will notice some permanent residents which vary from kitchen makers, through gyms, a private Dr & more. A quite strange mix.
Sicilian food fest, expected more vendors but selection was not great. Price and portion wasn’t great either.
I recently visited the Tech Live 24 event, which takes place in a large, expansive building. The building was originally constructed in the 19th century as a venue for agricultural shows. After World War II, it was acquired by the post office, who did little to maintain it, allowing it to fall into disrepair until the 1980s when it reopened for business in its current form. Access to the upper floors is provided by both moving stairs and regular staircases. Conveniently located throughout the building are toilet facilities, including accommodations for those with accessibility needs. The venue houses a restaurant that offers a wide-ranging menu, from cooked breakfasts and cereals to pastries and hot main dishes for lunchtime.
I went to the National Geographic event there and it was a great experience! The event was really memorable, however the venue could be better, there weren’t enough trash bins around, the water was missing in the water machines, however the cleaning team was always around.
