I’ve been to see Sophie a few times for a deep tissue massage and each time she has worked out so many kinks in my back and muscles. I would thoroughly recommend Sophie and A Little Retreat if you are in need of a massage!

I had a deep tissue massage earlier this week by a lovely lady, Sophie… and I must say, it is one of the best massages I’ve had. Sophie was welcoming and put up with my little rant, genuinely empathising with me!  I’ve been feeling tense for a while which has caused aches and pains in my head, back and shoulders and I generally find it hard to relax. Sophie started off gentle to warm up my back muscles and later applied a lot of pressure to them which helped release all the tension. She moved on to my shoulders, and to finish , she gave me a head massage and hit the pressure points which felt great. I felt so relaxed and happy by the end of it… I wanted to fall asleep!  It did hurt a little the day after - it is a deep tissue massage after all, but it gets better. I highly recommend this treatment to anyone who has been feeling a lot of tension in their back… it’s worth every penny. I know I will be visiting again soon, it’s just a matter of when!

I treated myself on my birthday to a dazzling pedicure  by Abi there plus the other amazing staff there, by their genuine friendliness - also a  decent coffee, too. Don't know why I never had one before, amazing colour and finish which lasted actually longer than I had expected! I probably was annoying in that I didn't want to leave because I was so relaxed  but there were other clients, so I had to make my chilled out way and enjoy my toes to myself

The spa and staff are really friendly and professional. The venue is a sweet cottage style retreat. My experience is on the basis of 1 wax: after going for a 'Hollywood' wax, the treatment was done in 20 mins, which cost £24, a good price and better than the others on the market, with competitors charging usually £30. I was 8 months pregnant at the time of my wax, meaning I couldn't see my treatment until I got home to face a mirror. Unfortunately there was a considerable amount of hair and wax still left over, which I struggled to get off when I tried to sort it out at home. I didn't have the lotion used by the salon to remove wax so I had to result to getting in the shower and shaving the wax and remaining of the hair off. The technique used seemed fine, the layout of the bed was a bit uncomfortable for me to sit on, but understandable for myself being pregnant, and the staff member who completed the treatment was very kind, professional and polite. I was just left slightly disappointed and hence the three-star rating.

My wife has been here on many occasions. Everytime she has had an amazing experience and come home super happy. She said staff are friendly, rooms and treatments amazing. I would  recommend purley on the basis that your wife/partner will come home Uber happy. Highly recommended.

Professional and friendly . Treatment carried out efficiently and with respect.

I travel from London to get my eye lashes done here. They really are second to none!
