Hidden gem with a menu that hardly ever changes, much like the hospitality. Great for parties, small groups, families or date night. Large garden with playground for kids.Service: 4/5
Been here before, one of few places on the A368 that was open and serving food on a Tuesday evening. Good beers, good value food. We had Oggies - speciality of the house. Will definitely go again.
We had a really nice stay here whilst attending a wedding nearby. The room was really nice, with a four poster bed, balcony and living room more of a suite really. The bed was super comfy, and the breakfast was really great as well. The host was chatty and friendly and we felt very welcome indeed.
Nice atmosphere and pub. Staff were friendly and attentive. The sandwich was huge, however the starter of mushroom on toast was seriously disappointing.
Great little pub, great food, fisher lake at the back, didnt score the 5/5 because of the attitude of 1 of the waiting staff, must of just been an off day.
Not nearly as good as our first time but although it rained every day and I didn't like the menu, surrounding areas were nice as was Bristol though a horrible journey both waysRooms: 4/5

I have rated this pub before and once again they come up trumps with a good selection of food along with the specials on the board. Had trout with beetroot salad , delicious and the other three in my group were we'll pleased with theirs too. Lovely staff and good service. Update on Mother's Day, great set menu good service and tasty food at a fair price, loads of room to park always wise to book if it's a special day. Valentines day 2023 went for lunch as too busy at night,I had fish and chips and sticky toffee pudding, partner had sirloin steak and chips with raspberry roulade all tasty with no complaints. Prices are in line with surrounding pubs.
Only been in the pub part but really nice and well worth visitingService: 5/5
Two of us had braised beef in wine gravy, one had pork in Stilton sauce. The meals were tasty, however the beef was the toughest I've had in a long time, and my friend who had the other beef said the same and left half his. The pork that my wife had was also very tough and she left most of it, and she said she couldn't taste the Stilton. The staff were nice though and the location is nice.
