This is the third time me have eaten here and they are brilliant. The food was fantastic very high quality with a menu much better than most places. Greeted at the door by staff and made to feel at home by the locals. Service throughout was second to none, I would like to say to the manager a very well done in selecting top rate staff. Five stars is not enough for the Compton Inn well done everyone and a merry Christmas to you all. We well come back thank you.
Today was our second visit to the Compton Inn. This was for a Sunday roast and the previous visit was in the evening. The atmosphere of the pub is lovely, a fire burning and warmth from radiators. The staff are friendly and helpful and the food is great. Good choices on the menu including salads and sandwiches. Will definitely be visiting again and would recommend it.

Beautiful country pub, decked out with Christmas decorations. We had booked for late afternoon meal, and weren't disappointed. Table staff were quick, efficient and nothing was too much trouble. Really varied menu, and we loved everything, particularly the al dente veg. We will visit again for certain. Thankyou......
Lovely pub. Decent beer. The staff were lovely. The new manger is doing a great job. Well worth a visit.
Warm welcome and great food. All six of us really enjoyed our meal after a nice walk down by the river. We'll definitely be back!
Amazing food, lovely staff and not very expensive, tucked away but worth finding definitely. We will be going back next time we visit the area.
Was over 30 degrees today and staff worked very hard. Took advantage of the "eat out to help out" scheme, so maybe that's why it seemed busy. We sat inside but plenty of outdoor seats. Had lovely walk in churchyard opposite with Teddy
Terrific local pub. Large selection of keg beers. Food was excellent and some of the best chips I've ever had. Plenty of parking at the side of the pub. Takeaway food also available. Plenty of seating and comfy chairs.
Great pub, good food, in a lovely village.
