used to be good. decent selection of ales. but now poor selection and really rude bar staff who don't know arses from elbows. avoid until improvements. I asked what pale ales they had and I was told to "look at the bloody jars in front of the taps for the colour". Nice. Be warned.

Small cosy pub with good atmosphere and reasonable selection of beer and situated right next to the river. It does get busy but worth stopping in for a couple of drinks. Selection of board games as well if it takes your fancy. In my experience the staff were friendly enough contrary to other reviews. Didn't try the food.

First time leaving a restaurant review because of a less than pleasant experience. I was in the queue to order at the bar and there were 3 parties ahead of me. When it was my turn, I approached the bar. The employee made eye contact with me then proceeded to take another person's order (someone not in the queue). At first I waited because it may have been a misunderstanding. Then this employee makes eye contact with me again and proceeds to take the order of the person directly behind me. I don't know if it was because I am an Asian woman or American but it was my first time experiencing such treatment after three months in England. Then after I finally reluctantly ordered my mac n cheese while contemplating the reason for this absurd service it further saddened me because the food was extremely salty. Never again

Excellent local pub with great food. In the summer, you can have a nice sit by the river and watch people punting.

I don’t often write reviews, but had to on this occasion. Never before have I received such incredibly rude service from someone behind a a bar than the woman I was served by today. Me and my friend didn’t even finish ordering before we decided we didn’t deserve such snippy service, so we walked out.
