The location is convenient, and the rooms were clean, modern, and comfortable. There was a minor issue with the keycard holder being broken in my room, but the staff was quick to address it—after I informed the reception, they fixed it promptly. The team was exceptionally friendly and attentive throughout my stay. I also enjoyed the breakfast, which offered a great variety. Overall, a wonderful experience—I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting the area!
One thing I absolutely loved was how all the staff were really kind and attentive. Was there for work and had a really good stay. Also one staff in particular, Nagma was very sweet and went out of her way to make me comfortable. Keep up the good work!Rooms: 5/5
I had a wonderful stay at the Holiday Inn Whitechapel. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well-equipped with everything we needed. The location is excellent, with easy access to public transportation bus 15 and nearby attractions. The breakfast was delicious with a great variety of options. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area.
Apparently, changing names on a reservation is not as easy as I thought. This is the second time that this has happened in the past 4 months at an IHG property. Considering that I've been a member for over 10 years and never had this problem. It's definitely a management issue. But unfortunately, I doubt that management at either property will take any cues from their guests. Oh well, I won't be at either of these properties anyway, so no biggie. In response to the management comments. Your location literally emailed me and asked who will be staying in the rooms. I gave the names of each person that was associated with the particular reservation number, and it was never added. How do I know this because I asked when I was checking in, and they said only my name was listed. What's the point of emailing me to ask for the names of my guests if you won't add them to my reservation. And I even double checked with the front desk about my other reservation and was told that my friends name was on the reservation and all they needed to do was say my name because I was listed as the primary. Again, I gave her the reservation number to look up, and the front desk requested that I send her a screenshot of my IHG account number to verify. Never in all my times of reserving rooms has it ever been as messed up and complicated as this. I wish I could believe all that you are telling me, but I don't buy it. As I said, this will not be a property I will stay at in the future. The final thing is my trash was left in my room, but housekeeping managed to change the sheets and towels and throw out the bathroom trash but not the main trash bin. My family and I recently stayed at the Holiday Inn London—Whitechapel, an IHG Hotel, during our vacation from Toronto, Canada. We booked three rooms and stayed for over a week, and I must say, our experience was nothing short of excellent. Pre-Arrival Communication: One of the most thoughtful touches of our stay was receiving a personalized welcome email from General Manager Johnson Joseph a week before we arrived. The email included clear and detailed directions on how to reach the hotel from Heathrow Airport, which made our travel arrangements a breeze. This proactive and caring gesture set the tone for the exceptional hospitality we experienced throughout our stay. Warm Welcome at Check-In: Upon arriving at the hotel, we were greeted by Reenu, an excellent front desk lady who immediately welcomed us. She warmly thanked me for being an IHG member, quickly processed our check-in, and handed us the keys to three beautiful rooms. Additionally, Reenu provided us with a coupon for complimentary drinks, a lovely and unexpected bonus! She was highly professional, patiently listened to all my requests, and handled everything smoothly. Her hospitality made the start of our stay feel extra special. Comfortable Rooms: The rooms we were given were spotlessly clean, comfortable, and perfect for our needs. The beds were cozy, and the ambiance provided a restful atmosphere after long days of exploring London. The only downside was the absence of a mini-fridge in the rooms, which would have helped keep drinks and snacks. Other than that, the rooms were well-appointed, and the housekeeping staff ensured they remained pristine throughout our stay. They were kind, efficient, and always eager to help with any requests. Delicious Breakfast: Each morning, we enjoyed a hearty breakfast at the hotel. The variety of food options was fantastic, with fresh and delicious items available for all tastes. While the breakfast was excellent overall, a live egg station would have been a welcome addition for guests who prefer made-to-order eggs. However, the quality and range of food options, combined with the warm and attentive service, made breakfast a daily highlight. Outstanding Staff Service: The Holiday Inn London - Whitechapel staff went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. Special mention goes to Nagma, who was incredibly hospitable, caring, and courteous throughout our visit. Her attention to detail and kind demeanour made a lasting impression on us. Vincent at the front desk was also very friendly and helpful, adding to our positive experience at the hotel. The housekeeping team also deserves recognition, as they were efficient, extremely polite, and accommodating. Convenient Location: The hotel’s location in Whitechapel is one of its greatest assets. The Whitechapel subway station is just a short walk away, making it easy to access all of London’s major attractions. We found the area vibrant, with plenty of grocery stores, shops, and restaurants nearby. This convenience allowed us to explore the city easily, and we never had to worry about finding essentials or grabbing a quick bite to eat. Overall Experience: Our stay at the Holiday Inn London - Whitechapel was an absolute pleasure from start to finish. From the warm and welcoming pre-arrival communication from GM Johnson Joseph to the exceptional service from Reenu, Nagma, Vincent, and the housekeeping staff, we were consistently impressed by the hospitality and professionalism of the entire team. The hotel’s cleanliness, comfort, and prime location made it the perfect base for our London vacation. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting London and will return on our next trip. We booked a room with breakfast- it’s definitely worth it! Wide enough range of options and comfortable environment! The waitstaff named FLOR is super friendly and welcoming!! Thank you for making our day delightful and kids happy Reception staff are helpful and friendly too. Room is clean, all the amenity items especially body wash and hair wash series are nice! Location- walkable to Tower Bridge 25-30min
Good hotel, even better staff. As a regular traveller to London, I have repeatedly visited Whitechapel IHG, the staff are amazing and go above and beyond to make you feel at home. Bren greets you with a big smile and a welcomes you back. If I can stay here, I doRooms: 4/5
The hotel from inside is very nice. The room was spacious and the shower was clean. The only and the biggest problem of this hotel is the location, it is surrounded by a local food market and street vendors, the smell was terrible and the area feels completely unsafeRooms: 4/5
Had a fantastic stay at the Holiday Inn Whitechapel. Both day time check in and night staff were excellent. The night manager Raman - apologies if that's not his name! stayed Saturday 3rd of August in particular delivered some of the best service I've ever received at a hotel. Was happy to open the bar for a very late drink and also assisted in cleaning up an accidental spillage outside our room. Would highly recommend staying and will be visiting again for definite. Rooms: The room was incredibly spacious. Only downside was not being able to open the window. It was immaculately clean though and well stocked with water and usual tea and coffee making facilities. Was very impressed!
A two night last minute stay here for a quick trip to London. Rooms are as to be expected. We chose the Premier room which is larger and worth it. Breakfast was fine, buffet style, and very busy at peak time of 8.30 to 9.00 We ate lunch in the restaurant which was good.. the waitress was lovely and so helpful. Staff were generally friendly. Basic hotel that delivers as promised. Not a great fan of the surrounding area, but that's not the hotels issue. Rooms: Advise to go for the Premier room if you can, worth it for the extra space Food & drinks: Bar serves coffee, soft drinks, and alcoholic drinks. Bar is small but friendly Restaurant has an OK menu, from sandwiches to Thai green curry. Service is variable but generally good. Staff helpful
