Rooms were clean, hotel was pretty nice. Breakfast was included and actually quite good. My room had no a/c or it didn't seem to work very well but it was a nice stay. It is very close to the train station probably only a 5 minute walk and that train can take you basically everywhere.Rooms: 4/5
I had three free nights through IHG so the family and I decided on London to finish them before expiration. Hotel is nothing special to see on the outside, but didn't need it to be. Inside is clean to me and well maintained, but my wife said it was dirty. Initial contact with staff was great, very nice and helpful. Room was nice, windows were left open to air out, which is great except the heater did not work so we Informed the front desk and they got us a heater and while we were out the next day the heater was removed and the room heat was working. The breakfast is nothing special, packaged scrambled eggs, bangers vegetarian too bread and crosswinds, but it gets through to lunch, just needed energy. There are no attractions close by, but there is a train station about a 5 minute walk away and it's easy enough to buy an oyster card at a shop around the corner from the station. Rooms: Had trouble with heating, but it was fixed. Nothing special and not super clean, but no big complaints. Noteworthy details: Train station is close by.
Overall an OK hotel but definitely does not live up to the 150£ per night expectations. The heating in our room was not working, which we reported to reception and were told a heater will be brought to our room. We left for dinner and came back after two hours, no heater in the room. We checked again with reception and they told us they will bring a heater. After waiting for another half hour we had to go again downstairs to reception to ask about the heater/delay. Eventually they moved us to a different room since they could not find a heater. This whole process took about 45mins at around 20:30-21:15, waiting dressed in the room. Both rooms were dated with several stains on the carpet, tired furniture and bathroom, which obviously is not ideal for the price. The hotel needs refurbishment. The breakfast was quite basic, no variety. But decent.
I have used this Hotel a couple of times now as it is in reasonable distance from Morefields Eye Hospital. The prices are reasonable but there's a £20 daily parking charge on top. It's outside of the congestion charge zone so that helps. The room was clean and didn't smell of smoke, neither did the bedding which many no smoking still do smell of in my experience. I would use it again. Rooms: Standard layout for Holiday Inn Express, clean & tidy. Rooms look to have been refurbished not that long ago.
Great service at every level: front desk, housekeeping, breakfast support, and security. Bed was comfortable, strong shower, and I didn’t hear any neighbors the four nights I was there. Only drawback for me was not having a refrigerator in the room, but I knew that when I booked it and it wasn’t a dealbreaker. Uber/taxis were easy enough to get and I never waited more than ten minutes or so. I only ate once in the hotel neighborhood, but there were a number of takeaway/delivery options and a decent small grocery within a five minute walk.
Thank God for the rare opportunity!!! Thanks to my parents too!! It was with much anticipation and excitement that I ended up choosing accommodation for my first trip abroad. I hope my five days stay at your hotel will bring many pleasant moments and memories in my lifetime. Thanks .
I stayed 3 nights for work as a lone female. The room was immaculate and had everything you needed. Breakfast was really nice and lots of choice. Not many tables so you had to share. The views are not great but fine as I wasn’t in much. Despite being on a busy road there was no road noise. The hotel felt safe and rooms secure. Staff friendly and helpful. Easy to get to Limehouse and Shadwell station so easy to commute about. I’d definitely stay again. Rooms: Spacious, clean and everything you need for a work trip. Safety: I felt safe in the hotel and within my room.
The hotel are fine. But is to far from the international airport and a taxi cost 100L around 120 dollars each way. Most of the Uber drivers don’t want to take this long trip. In the end it’s better to get hotel more close to the center of the city.Rooms: 3/5
I've had mixed feelings about the location. On one hand you are almost literally on the other side of the road from the path along the Thames to the City district, which is nice. On the the other, the place itself, next to a cement plant, is a bit awkward. The rooms are okish but deserve a review on the cleaning policy. I wouldn't walk around barefoot too much. Regarding service, I have come across one really unpleasant receptionist upon my arrival, late in the evening. I understand it's a 3 star, a Holiday Inn Express. But for the cost I'd expect a bit more from Customer Service. "Good evening", for example, and dare I say it, a smile perhaps ?.
