The hotel is in a great location for people wanting fly from the airport. Staff were very friendly and helpful. I always inspect the rooms before I unpack and found that they were very clean. The best facility has to be the gym and swimming. Very well kept and great for kids.
This hotel was absolutely amazing the room was beautiful, so clean and fresh. The staff was out of this world so happy helpful and very welcoming, ASH from the reception desk was superb helped with everything we needed and was always smiling and was so welcoming. The food was perfect, and the breakfast was out of this world so much to choose from. Also the spa was so relaxing me and my husband had such a lovely night away, even the sun room cleaners were so lovely, will definitely be returning with our children next time Thank you ;
The reason why this particular visit warranted 3 stars was because we had issues with the heating in our room 101 for the duration of our stay. However I can happily say that the staff deserve 5 stars as they tried to make the stay as comfortable as possible for us given the circumstances with the heating issue. They provided us with portable heaters to heat the room, they sent the in house maintenance man to fix the heating. Initially it worked and then again it stopped working. They we aware of the problem as many rooms had the same issue. They had an engineer trying to fix the heating system that was due to the building itself. Our Guest Service Assistant Nicola was very helpful, courteous, professional and apologetic throughout the duration of our stay. She tried to make the best out of a very difficult situation. The same can be said for the manager Alessandra. The first day at breakfast we asked to speak to the manager and she was very approachable, professional and apologetic too. She immediately sent the in house maintenance man to fix the heating issue in our room. By the time we finished breakfast and went back to our room it had been fixed. Unfortunately this seemed to have been just a temporary fix and the problem reoccurred. We were then given the portable heaters again and were offered to change rooms even though they seemed to be fully booked. They went over and above to get another room ready for us in a short period of time. We did ask if we could inspect the room and test out the heating before packing and moving again. They were more than happy for us to do that. Once the new room was ready on the 7th floor the in house maintenance man accompanied us to the room and showed us the room with the heating working. However again as the heating was turned off it didn't turn on again. We kindly declined to move and decided to stay in our initial room. The staff were very understanding and tried to help us and make our trip a memorable one.
Very small rooms. There's little bugs running around the room
Unfortunately one of the worst nights I've spent in a hotel. Its shabby and dirty, plus there was an electrocution hazard related to a bulb missing from a bedside light, which was still turned on. It was noisy with HVAC noises and also a toilet that would drip. The staff were helpful and polite, the breakfast was average, overall not a good stay. Its obvious that this hotel needs some real investment and/or better management.
Good hotel, clean and comfortable. Air conditioning in the rooms was very hit and miss. Breakfast was pretty basic but after a night if drinking it did the job. Only complaint was being told parking would be £4 and then charged £7 on departure. To hung over to pursue it further. Complimentary parking would have been better. Staff friendly enough but busy at check in/check out times...would have been better to have more than one person working during this time. Overall would recommend. Especially for the massive bed!
The hotel does not advertise the fact that it houses the homeless/street people and asylum seakers. Only one lift and I saw 4 homeless people in wheelchairs, not good in the event of a fire. The lift was very dirty, with unknown stains and greasy marks on the walls, and a very manky carpet. The hotel were moving some people who were sat in reception with lots of carrier bags. I know they need somewhere to live but paying guests £115 per night should be informed and given the option. Bed and breakfast were fine.
It was a lovely place to stay at. The room was very well priced & the room was actually a very good sized room. It could have done with a little more update to be honest but I didn’t complain. The sofa bed needed a little cleaning on the top. Parking for £4 was fine overnight, it was safe, secure and convenient. The free breakfast was brilliant. A huge variety of foods to choose from, cereals, beans on toast, eggs, croissants, fruits, even vegetarian sausage on request! Plenty of coffee, water & apple juice. Overall great stay & staff didn’t need to do much at all. Easy to find on the main road just keep a look out on left ! I would highly recommend.
Lovely clean rooms. Very comfy beds and lovely hot shower Breakfasts spot on, hot and not overdone buffet style.. The staff are friendly and helpful but overstretched bless em, so you just need a bit of patience. As a van driver parking is limited at the very front of the building. Been twice now on business, pubs and curry are a short walk away but the food is good in the hotel and the beer is cold so why move?!
Not bad, room and bed clean and tidy. In process of changing carpets in the hotel. Parking good on 2 levels. Important to enter from A45 heading out of Brum as it's a dual c.way and u cross a bus lane to get over into the hotel. A sat nav may take you around a back At to the hotel with no access to parking. Lift out and to be fixed tomorrow is the only slight down side. Weterspoons 15 mins away so didn't eat at hotel. Not had breakfast yet.
