The staff were so helpful and went above and beyond to help us. We felt very comfortable at the hotel and not judged by staff. We had a free upgrade which was a lovely surprise and made our stay even better! Thank you Clayton staff and Daniel on reception who made our check in smooth and easy. A lovely hotel. Wasn't sure what to expect in a busy major city centre. Such friendly staff, beautiful spotless room, extremely comfy bed and very quiet stay. Breakfast was also amazing! Thank you allRooms: 5/5
This is an excellent hotel, clean and spacious rooms, lovely shower, comfy beds and rooms are very quiet. My only slight criticism is that I couldn't get the temperature of the room low enough for me and found it quite hot overnight. But this was minor in comparison to all the positives. Breakfast was excellent too.Rooms: 4/5
We recently stayed at this beautiful hotel in a fantastic location. The rooms were very clean, and the beds were super comfy. However, we encountered two minor issues: the room was quite hot, and we couldn't turn the heating down below 18 degrees. Additionally, while the breakfast selection was excellent, make sure to inform the staff if you haven't finished if you go back to the buffet, as they tend to clean the tables as soon as you get up. But, very very minor issues and we will definitely be back again, we had a wonderful stay. Thank you.
I have stayed here several times and the staff is great, very nice and helpful. Rooms are clean and well appointed, however, the air conditioning never works and the windows do not open. The food in the restaurant is mediocre. Pastries at breakfast can be stale. Food is not always fresh made as I would expect in a higher end hotel. The location is near the train stations, but there is lots of construction in the area. No on-site parking.
Super helpful staff from cleaner to receptionist. The beds were extremely comfy and we had such a good night's sleep. The breakfast was amazing and the best we've ever had. So many options for breakfast and such a good variety for people who are gluten free, veggie and vegan.Rooms: 5/5
Our stay was amazing, all the staff were great with us and we had a great time. My only complaint is about the renovating works inside the hotel specifically next to our room that started around 9 am and made it impossible to have a quiet time during the morning.Rooms: 5/5
On checking into our room we found that the bathroom sink was blocked and would not drain. We reported this to reception on our way out to dinner. Returning later that evening we found a large pile of towels underneath the sink. The sink had been unblocked but the plug did not work. Furthermore the water leaked, ran down the pipe onto the floor below - hence the pile of towels. We then found that we could not turn off the bathroom light. Where the switch should have been was a hole in the wall. The bathroom had a frosted glass door so our bedroom was illuminated all night. We reported both problems to reception the following morning and showed them photos of the faults. As it was a Sunday they said nothing could be done, asked if I could email them my photos and offered a change of rooms. As we on our way out, were time limited and were leaving the following morning a change of rooms would not be convenient. On our return to our room that evening we found that the pile of towels had gone, leaving the water to run straight onto the floor. What marvellous customer service. The buffet breakfast was very good.
I had to change room as the first room had an unpleasant damp smell. The new room the bed was comfy and the shower was fine but there were no comfort items in the bathroom, the light switch was caving in, BBC was not available on the TV due to poor reception. There was no light over the desk. At the price point for this hotel I was expecting a lot more. The location is great for the bullring, but I noticed a Premier Inn nearby, if visiting again I would stay there instead.
This hotel is in a great location and walking distance to the Bullring. The staff were friendly in reception. The rooms were clean and well spacious. Breakfast was very good overall well worth staying here.Rooms: 5/5
