Something as simple as change of address. Didnt work on app for some reason. Tried to get help by emailing HMRC, explained it was a typo and explaining i was cut off when I phoned the number as the automated message told me to do it on the app.... which didnt work. The person who emailed back completely ignored the problem and told me to phone the number. Had to give the automated message a different answer and now on hold for 50+ minutes which should have been a very easy fix
Useless, it's impossible to contact them. How me or other people supoused to sort out any disputes with tax credits if you don't answer the phones. Dirty tactics to put you in more debts, stress etc. Your letters are so confusing that any normal person wouldn't understand them and all the calculation. So you don't pick up the phone so u won't get any money and we can meet in court. I'd love to, I would say to judge that I wanted to pay and sort it out, but HMRC is incompetent and don't answer the calls and you can't sort anything. Straight win for me.
Cannot get through on the phone, input all details then says unable to help. Also cannot get through on any online chat as when ask to speak with a human it says they can no longer help. I pay a huge amount of tax and the service is nothing short of horrendous.
Police should be brought and arrest the staff immediately, it’s unacceptable. If my company wouldn’t be contactable for them as they are for me I wouldn’t be able to get away with consequences… Paying in so much money and can’t even get thru with so impatient important queries
Held for 1 hour 10 minutes. Person who answered sounded like I woke him up. Explained reason for my call. Call went silent then call got disconnected. Disgrace.
