Exceptional Service – James Went Above and Beyond!nI cannot recommend the sales department at Yeomans VW highly enough, especially James, who looked after me from start to finish. I live over 200 miles away, which could have made the process complicated, but James made everything seamless. He was incredibly patient with my endless questions, talking me through my vehicle trade-in and working hard to find a delivery solution that suited me perfectly. Even after taking delivery, his after-sales service has been fantastic. I genuinely cannot fault a single thing throughout this entire process. If you want a stress-free, professional car-buying experience, ask for James!
I went to test drive a golf back in September 2025 but after talking to James in sales ended up buying a Polo GTI. This car suits me down to the ground and I'm very pleased with it.not only that I was able to negotiate a price that I was happy with!nI've since decided to also buy a spare wheel from the spares department with the necessary clamp, plastic moulding etc., that's required and thankfully Shaun & Taig were on hand to order the parts and fit them for me.nNice to be dealt with in such a pleasant manner. May thanks.
Avoid Helston and Indian Queens Yeomans if you value your car, your time or being treated with respect — especially on the Motability Scheme.nAfter months of poor workmanship, excuses and constantly being fobbed off, I was banned from both dealerships after finally losing patience during a phone call after everything that had happened.n• They left a screwdriver in my engine bay for 2 weeks after repair work. It was only found later by a detailing company after causing marks/damage to my paintwork. They denied it was even theirs.n• First time they had my car, they reversed it into a pole and crashed it.n• They broke one of my side trims/panels during repairs and never properly fixed it. The whole trim later fell off and the damaged part is still sitting in my car waiting to be repaired, but now I’m “banned”.n• They repaired my mirrors and that is when they damaged the side trim/panel.n• Dash cam proved they lied about road testing my car. Most times the car went in, my dash cam also ended up unplugged.n• I overheard staff talking badly about me in my own car and laughing about Motability customers/treating them differently.n• Alex Price put me on loudspeaker during a complaint call while staff laughed in the background, then later told Motability I shouted at him, leading to me being banned instead of the faults being fixed.n• Constant rude/dismissive attitude on the phone whenever I refused to just be fobbed off again, including sighing and attitude because I kept calling back over unresolved faults.n• Car pulls badly to the left, vibrates, rattles over bumps and has cupped wheels, yet I was constantly told they “couldn’t feel it”.n• The car rattles badly over rough roads sounding like worn suspension/drop links, yet apparently nothing was wrong with it.n• CV joint/driveshaft sounds like it’s going to snap when pulling away. RAC also pointed it out, still no fix because it’s apparently “within manufacturer guidelines”.n• Driveshaft also has excessive play but again I was told it was “within guidelines”.n• They also refused to replace a damaged CV boot because it was apparently “within manufacturer guidelines”.n• Fuel filter fault caused me to run out of fuel on a busy motorway at 5pm despite the car showing 25 miles remaining.n• Car sometimes stops unexpectedly in the middle of the road and has nearly caused crashes.n• Headlights blind people even on dipped beam because they refuse to properly acknowledge/fix the issue.n• Glovebox “fixed” under warranty then broke again within 30 minutes.n• Roof liner and mirrors creak/rattle after their work.n• I was genuinely told to use household polish on the brakes to stop creaking.n• They made me out to be the issue simply because I refused to accept poor workmanship and unsafe faults on my car.n• Everything has been documented and sent to Volkswagen complaints with dash cam footage, emails, RAC involvement and photos, yet after over half a year nothing meaningful has been done and they continue siding with the dealerships instead of properly investigating anything.n• I only currently have limited evidence available because my old laptop containing further photos/videos is broken, but more evidence can still be recovered if ever needed.nI’m actually a fair person and gave countless chances before getting to this stage. I stayed polite and respectful right up until the point they stopped even pretending to care or help.nI’m not someone who enjoys complaining or leaving reviews. I simply wanted a safe car that works properly because my life is literally at stake driving it.nThe worst part is the amount of stress this situation has caused me mentally. I already struggle with agoraphobia and poor health, so dealing with constant faults, arguments and being banned instead of helped has honestly drained me.nInstead of fixing the faults properly, I was made to feel like I was the issue for repeatedly refusing to be fobbed off.nI fully expect excuses or attempts to paint me as difficult, but there are always two sides to every story.
I visited today to test drive an Omoda 5 and unfortunately left feeling disappointed with the overall experience.nnInitially, the salesman with the glasses was courteous and professional. We had a brief discussion about what I liked and disliked about both the Omoda and Jaecoo ranges before I took the Omoda 5 out for a test drive, which was the primary reason for my visit.nnDuring our initial conversation, I mentioned that I wasn’t particularly keen on the alloy wheel design fitted to the Jaecoo. I was told that those wheels were standard. However, just before the test drive, the salesman then explained that if I leased or financed a Jaecoo, I could simply change the wheels myself and refit the originals before returning the vehicle. This seemed somewhat contradictory to the earlier discussion and only reinforced my curiosity about the Jaecoo range and how the vehicles compared in practice.nnAfter returning from the test drive with the Omoda, I expressed an interest in potentially driving a Jaecoo as well. Rather than discussing the vehicle or arranging a drive, I was immediately challenged as to why I would want to test drive it. I found this quite odd. As a prospective customer, the purpose of a test drive is to determine whether a vehicle is suitable before making a purchasing decision. If I don’t drive the vehicle, how am I supposed to know whether I want to buy it?nnThe impression I was left with was that unless the dealership believes you are already committed to purchasing a particular vehicle, they would rather not allow you to drive it. That is not the sort of customer experience I would expect when considering a significant purchase.nnMy mother accompanied me and asked a few general questions during the visit. While some of these may have been fairly casual, the salesman was noticeably short and dismissive in several of his responses. The attitude came across as unnecessarily abrupt and unwelcoming.nnThe salesman did speak with who I assume was his manager regarding the possibility of a Jaecoo test drive. The manager was noticeably more professional and courteous in his approach. Ultimately, we were informed that we would not be test driving the Jaecoo as it was a plug-in hybrid, it was disappointing but not the main issue.nnThe issue was the attitude displayed throughout the interaction. Customers should not feel as though they are being questioned or inconveniencing staff simply because they wish to explore different models before making a decision.nnOverall, I left disappointed and frustrated with the experience. The gentleman I dealt with would benefit from some guidance regarding customer service and salesmanship. Based solely on this interaction, I would be reluctant to return to Yeomans and would seriously struggle to recommend the dealership to others.nnRude, short, unprofessional and unwelcoming.
We just recently leased a Skoda Elroq from Yeomans Helston. We found it a very pleasing and satisfactory experience. Jordan Smart was very helpful and communicated regularly during the whole process from test drive to completion. I commend his friendly and efficient service. Thank you.
