Nice environment for a few drinks and food. The Katsu chicken was tasty and just spicy enough. Meat free burger was very good according to my better half. Good choice of beer and it was fab to see Camden Hell's on tap. Will visit again next time I'm in York. A special mention to the girl serving us Lucinda. Hard working and bubbly. A credit to herself.

The staff were extremely polite and welcoming. Cocktails and other drinks were great! and the food was delicious and was exactly what we expected from such a premium bar. The overall atmosphere was warm and comfortable so I would definitely recommend to anyone for any occasion! :

Went in yesterday for brunch. Terrible service it was like the staff couldn’t be bothered with us. We was more of a pain that there was a party of 7 come in so they couldn’t just sit around. Then was told coffee machine didn’t work so had the worst cold tea I think I have ever had. Myself and one other at our table sent the tea back. We also got out tea in a tall coffee glass cup really. To make it worse after telling paying customers that coffee machine didn’t work staff was walking through with starbucks cups. Clearly had time to get themselves coffee instead of fixing coffee machine. Then there was 6 of us at the table only provided us with 6 sets of cutlery. The food came well let’s put it this way if we had longer in York and we wasn’t hungry it would have been sending it back. One person on our table had the avocado on toast. Well not sure where the avocado was. There was the smallest bit on the ONE thin slice of toast. Was a joke and for the price. The poached eggs all over done. Then when out plates got collected the gentleman told us the coffee machine always brakes. Not being funny if you know it’s a problem get it fixed don’t walk in with Starbucks coffees for staff and sort nothing out for paying customers. I honestly have never known anything like it from bad to worse the whole experience never ever again. Staff really need to go back and learn customer service skills as that was not acceptable at all yesterday

Very boisterous crowd, only 30% full, hard to converse. 36$usd for 2 cocktails, one Manhatten was too sweet. Took about 15 mins from seating to getting the drink despite using QR to order. Not bad, but not going back.

I had the vegan breakfast. It was amazing. It had avocado, sausages, mushroom, tomatoes, scrambled tofu and a spicey bean dish. It was very impressive. Looked much nicer than what my two meat eaters chose:

We came as a party of 7 for bottomless brunch and couldn’t have had better service and a better experience. Our waitress Adhu was AMAZING, she was attentive, always checked back to see if we needed anything/ how everything was. She really made our experience top class and we will definitely return for bottomless brunch again! Thank you to everyone, especially Adhu for your incredible customer service!

Had pre booked but staff didn’t seem aware of our booking. Was then shown an unsuitable table which was a high table with swivel chairs which wasn’t suitable for my elderly grandma. Had to wait around 5-10 mins for another table although the place was empty. Was then shown to our table which was surrounded by empty tables but with their dirty plates on. Music was very loud for 1pm on a Monday lunchtime, so had to ask for this to be turned down. Was not informed that to make an order, you need to order at the bar. Asked for the Christmas menu but there weren’t any and we had to access this on our phone. Waited 30 minutes for our starter which was just okay. 45 minutes later, our plates from our starter were still on our table and our mains still hadn’t arrived, to find they had forgotten when we asked how long it would be! We cancelled this as it would’ve been another 15 minutes. We ended up going to a cafe around the corner which was lovely. Very disappointed as we wasted a lot of our time in this restaurant to then have to go elsewhere!

We visited for breakfast and waited a very long time for our items to arrive. There were only another 3 tables in so was genuinely slow service. My waffles were very hard which made them very difficult to eat. There was also no coffee available at all which we didnt find out until we came to order. Big reason to go out for breakfast is for coffee!

Adhu and Zee were amazing! They were both very attentive to my father and I, as it was his first time at an All Bar One. The ambience was lovely, the employees seemed to genuinely enjoy working there and working alongside each other, and I feel that the drinks were worth their price. Will definitely be returning!

My friend and I went for a lunch treat, ordered our food at the bar, the waitress did say there's a half hour wait for food. This was fine 1 hour later we enquired where our food was, only to be informed that there has been a miscommunication between the bar and the kitchen and one of our dishes wasn't available, so we said we'll have to of what my friend had ordered, it was with us within 10 minutes, which makes you wonder if the order even went in.. there was no offer of even so much as a coffee for the wait.. so don't think we will be revisiting.
