I was recently discharged from Queen Elizabeth hospital after a kidney bypass operation. NHS booked one of this companies taxis on their account to take me home. I took a call from the driver to say he was in the taxi rank downstairs, I told him I would be straight down. I was on the fourth floor, not very mobile and needed a nurse escort. We arrived at the taxi, in the pouring rain only to be told that the driver had decided to put us down as a “ no show” and he had taken another fare. He ignored the pleadings of the nurse and was totally uninterested in listening to either of us. He drove off, and obviously not interested in his passengers but only his money making. The nurse phoned the company, they were not interested and would not send a second vehicle. I e-mailed them twice in the coming days and still await a reply. Does this driver think he was picking up from a pub or supermarket??? Does he appreciate the type of passengers to expect from a hospital??? Ignorant, unhelpful, could not care less as long he gets to earn money!!!!! A true credit to this company who I will be avoiding to the best of my ability. Will never recommend them!!!!
how is it possible to order a taxi, in the application it tells me that the car arrives at the order in 1 minute, I quickly got off as it only said 1 minute and I waited outside for about 25 minutes until the car appeared. And this is not first time when the app said a time and I have waited more. I understand the traffic, the weather, the driver.. but is not possible to waited more 25 minutes for a car and if I cancel the order will charge me 5 pounds. This is SCAM.
Having had good experiences with this company. I, unfortunately feel I need to review my recent journey. Sadly you are unable to make direct reviews on the app, which I would have preferred as the journey I took afterwards was a much better experience. It all comes down to the driver. My first driver today was exceptionally rude and aggressive. Had I not been in an emergency situation, where my trip was urgent and couldn't be delayed, I would have gotten out of the car and taken an alternate option. Appalled by the drivers behaviour. I would very much have appreciated being able to have made a direct complaint about this particular driver to the company, but there doesn't seem to be an option for this on their website or app. Thankfully my return journey, which was booked by someone else, I'd have chosen another company had I been booking it, was pleasant and the driver was tipped for his politeness and courtesy.
DONT USE CHARGE CANCELLATION FEE FOR THEIR MISTAKE! We told them we had 5 suitcases and 4 adults as we were at the airport coming back from our holiday. They assured us they’d send an estate …arrived in a Nissan Qashqai couldn’t even fit 2 of our cases they’re normal sized cases. Was told they couldn’t take us and then charged us a cancellation fee! When we called asking about it the guy was incredibly rude and claimed that the car was an estate…. But couldn’t even fit 2 cases. Don’t use this company beware they’ll take you money even if it’s a fault on their end!
Gave them a location on the app copied and pasted address from Google maps and the driver went to a completely different location. Called GlasGO Taxis to resolve the issue and they said "well if you're not at the location, you're going to be charged for a no show...". No way of communicating with drivers. Useless. The woman at the call centre also hung up on me while I was trying to give them my location. Rubbish taxi service
Abysmal, avoid this company - will take your money and never arrive most of the time. Would give 0 stars if possible. - drivers won't be able to find you even in simple locations like a train station. And you'll probably be waiting around 20mins to half an hour from my experience. - sending the wrong vehicle even when I specified on the app I wanted a 6 seater, they brought a 4 seater which was unsuitable for 5 people. Then they still took my money and were holding it even though the journey was never completed nor did I enter the vehicle provided. I was still waiting for the money they took to be released 7 days later. Thankfully my bank looked into this and refunded me completely. - It costs £5 every time you want to cancel even if you're sitting there waiting and your driver never arrives/just sits there a few streets away then cancels your trip. This has happened multiple times.
For the first half of my trip, I had a male colleague in the car with me. There was the usual small talk between the three of us, involving me and my colleague discussing a night out I have tomorrow as well as some playful banter, which included me discussing a time that another driver had told me a story about kicking a woman out his car for stripping off. Once my colleague left the vehicle, the drive then began to say how if it were him, he would’ve took £20 off the final fare for her. Whilst uncomfortable with this, I assumed it was just him making a poor attempt to be funny and brushed it off. However, he then proceeded to tell me that I would “know what to do” if I wanted to get a discount on my fare. Again, I assumed this was a poor attempt at humour and laughed it off. He then started pressuring me, saying things to the effect of “are you thinking about doing it?” and “you’re making me want to give you a discount now.” He then proceeded to bring up Fake Taxi and how “horny” it made him. Recalling back to the conversation of my night out tomorrow, he then made a comment about how he would make sure to pick me up tomorrow as I’d be drunk enough to accept his £20 discount offer. At this point I finally told him absolutely not which then made the rest of the journey extremely awkward. I felt as if I had done something wrong by rejecting him. There is honestly more to this situation than I’ve described, however the gist of it is that this man has waited until I’m alone as a twenty year old woman in the middle of the night with no other way home to make unwanted sexual advances on me. I don’t even want to think of women who aren’t as confrontational as me, drunk women or women who are younger and more easily influenced by adult figures to do things being anywhere near this man, let alone have him taking them home.
I used to like this company as it is good value for money compared to other taxi companies in Glasgow. However in my last experience I was given a £5 cancellation fee, after waiting for a driver I was assigned to that never showed up, despite me staying at my pickup point the entire time looking at every car that passed. When I emailed and spoke to management on the phone, they refused to refund me. So expect to get an extra five pound charge if you're unlucky enough to be assigned to a driver who doesn't know how to arrive at your pickup point. Management, I hope you get yourself something nice like a coffee with my £5!
Booked a taxi yesterday to be picked up from a party to got to Buchanan st to get my bus back home to Stirling. I was waiting for this taxi at the pick up point and was also tracking it to which at 10.05 said it was on route and got a call from the company which I missed was in the toilet but got a text to say no show so was like what. So ran outside right away and was talking to the driver once I found him and gave my name and he said he wasn’t for me which I was a bit confused about. Called the taxi office and told the lassie and told her the colour of the taxi blue and said it was a black guy and she said yes that was him but by that time he went away not sure why as he said he was for someone else but said he could take me but why would I go into someone else’s taxi if it wasn’t for me, yet when he drove off he passed me and my friend again but luckily the woman on the phone managed to get me another taxi as I was worried I would miss the bus so this time it was a red Nissan and the driver was nice. To charge me a £5 no show is shocking as I was there. Well I hope he enjoys his McDonald’s with his free £5 conman. I used to like this company as they were reliable and always sent a message through WhatsApp what colour of car and the reg number so your not getting in the wrong hand of any Weird people,
Lately, full of rude and incompetent drivers. You’re best booking using Uber where you have control of your journey, blocking drivers and automatically review on a terrible driver! The company needs to really reconsider who they are letting use their services and take complaints seriously!
