Story

City Cars was founded in 1996 with just 6 cars and the belief that private hire could be done better, by combining the latest technologies with customer service. Our aim was and still is to transport our customers in a happy, safe and comfortable environment. We operate primarily from the West End of Glasgow and provide account services, Airports Transfers, Executive Hires and Priority service (City Cars Plus) at busy times.

Up until today I’ve had a good relationship with this service. The taxi drivers are friendly and helpful however I was left waiting for an hour during which i repeatedly rang up and was assured someone was on their way whilst waiting with my toddler and it was getting very late. When I rang up the last time the lady said actually sorry they’ve not got anyone in the area so they totally wasted my time. I wouldn’t use them again unless I was willing to wait a very long time.
I have been using City Cars Private Hire a few years and will not even consider another service for even half the price. The drivers are brilliant, polite and always on time. Passenger from Scotstoun
Reliable and timely!!! Two other companies I’d tried let me down , one without even telling me they were no longer taking the booking after I’d waited 35 minutes for them! City Cars were happy to take the booking, even for a short journey. A company that provides the service a taxi is meant to!
I've used City Cars for 25 years, the last 4 or 5 using their app. It was great - it just worked. But the last few weeks have been a step backwards. The app no longer works, despite uninstalling, downloading and reinstalling as advised. As soon as I try to book a car, the app tells me there are none available, even if I'm trying to book a car for the next day. The last time I called for a cab, it arrived and I was 5 minutes into my journey when I got a call to say my car had arrived. Then a second call to ask if I was in the car, and which company did the car work for. I'm losing faith in this once reliable company
It’s smooth running. Call centre is excellent and drivers know their way about the city. Drivers are very friendly and very careful drivers. I feel comfortable with them at the driving seat.

I have used them several times and each time they were prompt, fast, efficient, and, for similar distanced trips, less expensive than Uber.
Taxi arrived just before the scheduled time. Driver was pleasant and friendly and I soon arrived at the airport. No hassle, no stress involved. Would recommend.
The driver arrived before the booking time slot and was very well-mannered and helpful and the car was spotless
I pre ordered 2 cars for Saturday at 7.45pm. My wife called them that morning to confirm and get a rough price. 8 adults going to a works night out in Mollinsburn. 2 taxis. 1 turned up on time. The next never turned up until 9pm. Not good enough.
