I can't believe that establishments think it is acceptable to fill condiment bottles of brand names with cheap, acidic, horrible alternatives. I didn't expect a grear meal but I also didn't expect a terrible experience. This is not only wrong but a trading standards issue. Sort it out.
Their fish and chips is amazing!! Their mexican wraps are lovely too so saucy and delicious. That's my lunch when I was working their <3
The best Sunday carvery in Somerset/Devon this year. We went here around a year ago and remembered that it was good. It has been subtly restyled and is now even better. I would guess that there is a new chef/ management team because the food was superb and the staff are really friendly and attentive. Thanks for a really lovely meal.
Stopped here for a quick lunch. Very friendly and helpful despite us having a dog and two small children. Looks like it has undergone a major refurbishment and apparently a new chef. Very strong on fish options. Good veggie choices as well. Reasonably priced and food was presented with some care and was freshly cooked, which makes it standout from the majority of tourist eateries.
The food was fine. We had the £10 meal deal. Very small portion of cod but includes a starter. A £10 meal then! Food choice OK but with some nice sounding specials. Place wasn't that clean and glasses were worse. Disappointing visit but nice views. Beer choice good.
Well impressed wih a superb carvery. Beef and turkey cooked to perfection! Veg just right & service with a smile. Thanks Eva. We'll be back . By the way dogs are welcome in the bar area so ticks another box !
Nautical decoration looked fab and lots of different food options. Great place to go with the lads
Lovely setting sat outside with great views of the sunset. Food was great and kids meals were huge and tasty. Service was great and the waiters were fab. Efficient, polite and most importantly smiling. Will be back again soon.
Our meal was satisfactory, however the limited windows were open as it was a very warm evening and once again we were pestered by flies. I would rather they keep the windows shut and put the air con on at a comfortable temperature. The service was good - the gentleman who showed us to our table was very pleasant. We have been going to this restaurant for quite a while now on and off and the menu remains the same. Disappointing. A few changes to it every month or so would keep it fresh and more appealing. Not much curb appeal - right off the main road. Some more greenery to section it off from the road and help deaden the sound of traffic and soak up the fumes would do wonders, not only for eating outside but for the environment too.
