What a delightful pub. We booked a night's stay at the Red Lion as it was not too far from the M5 on the way to visit family, and I'm so glad we found it! The staff were all really lovely and friendly, our evening meal was delicious disappointingly too full for pudding!, lovely selection of local beers and ciders. Our room was beautifully presented, clean and comfortable with a lovely little en suite. Home made shortbread to accompany the tea and coffee tray in the room was the best I've had in my life, pure heaven in biscuit form!!! We will definitely be back!
The pub is gorgeous, full of character. Lovely seating area outside. Food was really good, we will be back!Service: 5/5

Always a place me and my friend go to catch up over dinner. Proper pub grub from local ingredients and local ciders. Staff always friendly and polite. Never had a problem fitting us in eitherService: 5/5
I recently visited this pub in the village and I must say, it exceeded all my expectations. The food was absolutely amazing, and the service was top-notch. Not only was the food delicious, but it was also served very quickly, which was a pleasant surprise. The quality of the food was exceptional and it left all of us, including my partner and kids, extremely satisfied. We also loved the fact that they had a lovely garden where we could sit outside and enjoy our meal. I highly recommend this pub for anyone looking for a great dining experience.
We went in for lunch and received a warm welcome from the staff. The menu was very good. I am a fish and chip fanatic and was not disappointed, My friend is vegetarian and had a good choice of dishes, she chose the risotto which she said was very tasty. We had coffee and was delighted to be given a chocolate with it. Altogether a very enjoyable lunch.
We booked a table for 6 Friday lunchtime. Good menu choices, and the light bite menu was perfect for kids or a lighter lunch. Had the burger with generous salad and lovely crispy chips. Wife has Risotto, very nice and the kids had , ham eggs and chips, lasagna and chicken croutons. Everyone enjoyed their food. We would come back again, if in the neighborhood. Food & drinks: Good value, chief that apparently been there for a long time. Noteworthy details: Plenty of parking.
Popped in Sunday lunchtime without a booking and was warmly greeted and welcomed. Staff were all very friendly, polite and attentive. Food was delicious. Beautiful historical pub in a lovely village location.Service: 5/5
Had lunch for 4. Attentive service. Well cooked tasty pub style food. Good selection of ales. Great value.
Thanks for the lovely food and great service. Especially for going the extra mile bringing out the birthday cake for my wife's 50th. Much appreciated.
