Loved this pub! Really great location overlooking the river, I could spend hours just sitting, watching the boats, and drinking! Visited on a Friday evening - it was packed! Great atmosphere and quirky layout. Managed to get a table there was 4 of us and ordered some food. Had the fish & chips, very tasty fish, homemade mushy peas, was let down by the chips. They could have been hand cut, not frozen. That was the only negative thing really. Mussels and nachos looked good too! Would definitely go back!
Great old place nicely decorated with local art on the walls . A lovely lovely spot for a pub, overlooking the estuary with big skies + sunsets. The whole of Topsham has history and character, it's looked after & loved.Food: 4/5
Located right on the riverside in Topsham, has lots of outdoor tables across the road as space is limited inside it seems. Food options were mainly seafood based, low beams and a well themed interior. Didn't have any food so couldn't rateService: 4/5
I had a pork roast. The only reason the food didn't get 5* was the potatoes didn't really taste of anything so had to have loads of gravy to eat them and worst of all the Yorkshire pudding was really really really dry. It didn't even absorb any gravy and I had to hack into it. Service was good though as the waiters were attentive. The atmosphere was average pub and you could smell the toilets whilst seated.
We had the pleasure of dining at the Passage House Inn at Topsham Devon yesterday evening. We were a party of 8, and we called in at very short notice hoping to find a table to accommodate us. Henry was the first staff member that we met. Not only did he manage to fit us in, but he all the staff went above and beyond to ensure our evening was unforgettable. The food and service was first class. If you are ever in Topsham, the Passage House Inn is definitely worth a visit. Thank you for a lovey evening.
Wonderful setting and view over the river. Friendly service. Revisited a few times and much has changed since the last visit. It is evident that the owners listen to their customers resulting in great improvement. A much more imaginative menu and decent portions. Quality produce and fairly priced. The service was good especially as the place was packed, being the start of the school holiday season. An eatery that can now be very much recommended.
Cosy little pub with a good selection of ales. The vegan food offers looked great but it was really busy do didn't get chance to sample. Will go back for a taster session. Great views from the beer gardenFood: 3/5
The food here is fantastic, I had the fish pie and it was hands down the best I’ve ever had! The staff were so friendly too and we had an amazing view of the estuary whilst we were eating!Food: 5/5
