Anything you can imagine to do with outdoor activities is hear. There's an unfathomable amount of gadgets, clothing and all manner of equipment right through the range. There's good reductions with a £5, loyalty card and some good quality brands such as Fox. The store and carpark are huge. There's a fitting room, wheelchair access and they have pet access as well.
Disappointing branch of Go Outdoors. Staff are usually helpful and friendly but this store is an exception. Approached a member of staff stood behind a till for a price on a jumper only to be told “I’m on my break” before turning her back and walking off. Don’t stand behind the till then and would it have killed you to scan an item that would take 30 secs or less? The shop is clearly having a move around to coincide with the change in season but there’s no excuse for disinterested staff milling about gossiping when there are queues at the 1 open till. Even the guy we eventually got served by couldn’t care less and was very stand-offish.
Great customer service today from Dante. A supposedly in stock item but no sign of it, he could have easily left the matter there as I appreciate stock levels aren't always 100% accurate As I was about to leave, he came over with the item
A great Go Outdoors!!! Meet at the front door with a polite chap, then again a really helpful person at the shoe zone. Great layout, with plenty of choice, space and clever sales points throughout the store. Fantastic!!!
One star but only because it won't let me leave zero. The shop is untidy with stock stacked anywhere and everywhere to the point of making it unsafe to walk around. Some staff try to be helpful, others give the impression that they couldn't care if your were there or not, and this is the good bit. Have a problem with something and customer service are exceptionally unhelpful and incompetent.
Popped into the Poole store today to look at boots and found a pair with help from Haleemq. This lady has served me before when I purchased walking shoes. Nothing is too much trouble and she provides sound advice in a friendly manner. Would have given 5 stars however your clothing section whilst extensive could be more rationally organised to improve the shopping experience.
Well you don't get any worse than this. A terrible place to try and shop. The store has been a mess for over a month now. Aisle closed off, equipment everywhere and no staff actually serving. Ques at the tills, customer service happening at the till causing delays. Staff standing behind tills watching one with a hoodie on with the hood up! The store is un-shopable. Was going to purchase a £375 Rab jacket but couldn't find any staff so I could try it on. Will buy online now. The service used to be so good in there.
I’ve been to a few GoOutdoors shops and always had a good experience but sadly my experience of this branch was shocking. Camping in Weymouth and realised I’d forgotten a valve for my cooker, Googled where I could get it and GO in Poole had 6 in stock, reserved one and set off on the 45 minute drive to collect - I know they say wait until the email comes in to say it’s ready to collect- but since they had 6 in stock I figured I could pick one off the shelf if it wasn’t ready. Walked in the door and I knew immediately I wasn’t going to get what I needed, the place looked like a scene from Day of The Dead, items strewn all over the shop floor, half the shelves were empty. When I realised I wasn’t going to find what I needed, I asked one of the assistants for assistance who showed little interest and said that my reserved one could take 6 hours to be found because the warehouse was a “bit of a mess”. About 10 minutes later I got an email from Go Outdoors saying my reservation had been cancelled. Had to buy a universal kit at 5 times the price to avoid a 90 minute wasted round trip. Should have tried my luck at a local camping store.
Dog Friendly which is a plus so we dont need to leave him at home. Store was very messy and the member of staff left the till she was serving at to open another tioll and asked people to come over while forgetting about the que she already had. 10 min later another member of staff comes up and actually serves us. They need to work on their customer service.
Always soo messy with stock everywhere, clothes don’t match what’s marked on the rail. Total chaos. Plus you have pay to park in the car park, bloody liberty
