I was afraid to go there after reading the reviews, but it turned out okay. Definitely not the most welcoming post office I've been to, true, but it's not so bad that you have to go a great length to find another post office if all you want is just to drop a prepaid parcel or something. DON'T buy envelopes or boxes on site if you can help it, though, the price is insane.
I highly recommend post office Gloucester Road! All the staff is Very professional and friendly! I've been visiting the post office and I couldn't be happier with the quality of service I get every time I visit. Also I wanna say thank you to very friendly and caring reception team especially Maha she always helped with my requests so thank you Gloucester Road post office you are fantastic!!!
Like others, having read the previous reviews I was a bit apprehensive! The only reason it gets 4 stars is because I initially walked right past it when I was looking for it, the signage isn't the best. They make a much bigger deal of being a change bureau/ tourist info point than they do a post office, but I think that's somewhat understandable - running a postal service alone probably doesn't get the rent paid in Central London. Sent off a large letter this afternoon with zero issues and the staff were all fine. No rudeness or funny business with the charges. Maybe I caught them on a good day or maybe the other reviewers went in there looking for a fight, who knows!
I am filled with a feeling of existential dread when I have to visit Gloucester Road’s Post Office. Long queues, total chaos, high prices, it has it all. When you finally reach the front of the queue the employees will reluctantly serve you, visibly bothered by every second you spend at their counter. Someone should tell them their job is to help customers — it feels like they haven't realised that bit yet. If you must go, ensure you commit to memory the entire product lineup of Royal Mail. If you ask any questions about what service to use, expect to get berated. And be aware things seem to cost more when you anger them. By visiting this Post Office you will suffer a fate worse than death. Post your items elsewhere if you ever want to feel genuine joy again.
This office is running a scam. Came here to change out old bills and would only do it for a fee of £5 for two bills. Should be a free service as it’s a government issue. In addition, the queue was only 2 people and took 25 min. I went to the Post Office over in the Knightsbridge area and they were polite and helped me quickly and without conning me.
The most appalling service EVER, the ladies behind the till are horrendously rude. Tried to charge me £27 for Something that cost £11 and told me it was my fault and shouted when it was HER mistake. I was so offended by the way I was spoken to and treated. The attitude and the level of Disrespect is appalling. The worst post office in London
The worst experience that I’ve ever had. I usually go to High street Kensigton post office to return my items, but unfortunately, they closed today. They always print the labels for free and place it on the parcels for me with respect and in a friendly manner. However, this post office made me pay £1 for printing the label on normal paper and a further £4 for sellotape to be used to stick down the printed paper on the parcel. The worst experience was the attitude of the lady behind the desk. She hardly looked at me and constantly pointed instructions to me. This customer service in this area is not acceptable and I would like a written apology and possibly re-train staff on customer service at this post office.
Best post office I’ve been to in London. Super helpful and friendly staff. I've been there today to send a parcel and PRATHEEKSHA served me with excellent attitude and service with very helpful advices.
Don’t use this post office unless you’re in a hurry. I live nearby and have already visited this post office for at least 3 times. One of my parcels was lost, another one broken. Very unprofessional Indian old lady who had no idea what is going on when I asked her the price difference of mailing services. She couldn’t hear clearly that I had to repeat my words twice or triple, and stared at me like I were her enemy. And an Indian guy kept shouting. Horrible.
One star is more than fair!!! The Asian guy working with the Print and Copy machine found out that we are in rush to the embassy so he was charging us £10 instead of £4.5. The moment I confront he was try to make it up as we did not understand what he was first told us! He was rude and make not funny jokes although he was laughing himself. He made us pay him in cash although his machine was working!
