A fabulous place to stay with such friendly staff. Would highly recommend.

A good base from which to explore York, room was clean and had pretty much what you'd expect for a guest house. We didn't sleep well though as the mattress seemed very old and creaked a lot. There was also no way of controlling the radiators or their temperature so it was always boiling in the room and we were in a room at the top of the property. Only spoke to staff twice, once when I arrived and once when I checked out. The lady who checked us in was pleasant but the lady who checked us out wasn't that friendly. She seemed to be in the middle of cleaning so I asked her where I should leave the key to check out, she gave me a funny look and just said "Give them to me." So yeah, check out could have been better. All in all it's by no means a terrible place to stay but I wouldn't particular be fussed about going back.  We also struggled with parking as you can't park in front of the property and there's only a very small parking area at the rear.

Pleasant owner and staff well priced and reasonably comfortable. Needs updating and breakfast could be bettet

Friendly knowledgeable staff. We had a nice chilled stay. Love the layout.

Bed was comfortable but the shower cubilcle was awful!!  Water pressure was poor so the shower just dripped slowly. 😟
