We came here after a walk for some lunch and the service was great, everyone is really friendly and food arrived quickly. The meals were freshly prepared and a good price too. This is a dog friendly pub with a lovely atmosphere, lots of seating outside too for the summer months.
Fantastic place to eat in a gorgeous setting. We had the beef hotpot and it was absolutely divine, proper warming comfort food on a cold morning after a walk. Staff were friendly and attentive. Definitely worth driving down those narrow Devon lanes to get here! 5*
In the whole of Devon, this is my favourite place. A lovely walk along the river in dappled light, accompanied by the soundtrack of burbling water and seeing wild Dartmoor ponies. Too many dogs off leashes was a problem when they were too enthusiastic in saying hello. Finished off a perfect day with a beer at the idyllic Bridge pub.
One thing that struck me at this family-run pub was just how homely it felt. The staff were genuinely warm and seemed delighted to see us, despite the lunch rush they were really personable and welcoming. The food was great too. We had a lovely Sunday carvery and it was such a treat to be able to sit by the river as we ate on a lovely day.
Absolutely beautiful location. Get here early to get a table outside if you can. Carvery was very good and the service was very friendly. Vegan waffle, ice cream and chocolate sauce was delicious. Not to he missed.
Considering that you're in a National Park with free parking and beautiful woodlands walks surrounding, you would think that this would take advantage of being a tourist trap - but it doesn't. The food and drink is reasonably priced and of a good quality. The outlook is spectacular and the staff are friendly and welcoming.
Walked from Mill End hotel to Fingle along the river, really beautiful walk. Most is easy to negotiate, a few steep bits where ypu need to watch your footing. Stunning views, great spots for wild swimming. Took us an hour to get to Fingle. There is parking there if you decide to drive, also a big field on the other side of the bridge, great spot for a picnic.
Beautiful location and food is always amazing. The staff are friendly and cheerful, well worth a visit. Disabled spaces beside the pub.
Really enjoyed this pub. Numerous staff all of whom were very friendly and attentive. Food was excellent and the atmosphere was lovely and relaxed.
Lovely little find during our trip back up from Cornwall to Derby. Gave us the perfect opportunity to let the dog and the toddler have a run. Food at the Fingle Bridge inn was beautiful and reasonably priced. We’ll be back!
