Recently under new management and just re-opened. Very quiet, but staff friendly and welcoming. Simple, but cheap £8 food menu, but we only stopped for drinks, so can't comment on quality.
Cozy place with friendly staff Becky was ace! Food was very tasty and very well presented. Real fire crackling in the background added to the great atmosphere.

Our visit to the Artichoke today was very good. We were well looked after and everyone thoroughly enjoyed the delicious food. I hope Acorn will be a frequent visitor.
The food is actually really pleasant here. But the employees drop the food like they're scared of me or something. And then they tell me I can still eat the food off the floor as I should be used to that. I'm not a dog.
