The beer engine excels at good tasty fare. With friendly and effective staff, & a wide selection of ales, this is a place to spend time at. All this is right next to a railway station so you may not have to drive.

Excellent service as always, and a really good selection of house beers.

Excellent venue. Party of 12 - great friendly service. Food was brought in a timely manner despite it being a busy Friday night.  Good value as well, quality food at reasonable prices most mains between12-15 pounds. Proper portion sizes,  enough to fill you up without waste. Excellent beer to boot.

Very good indeed. A lovely pub and restaurant, with friendly, professional staff and excellent beer and food. Two first class courses for less than 20 quid were a bargain - Scotch egg, Whitebait and Pork belly all truly fantastic.
