Met friends for lunch. Great food, great service and good value. Quiet location, but narrow lanes to get there, just hope you don't meet the local bus coming up the hill towards you. Had to reverse back up the hill until I found a space wide enough to let the bus pass. The meal was worth the effort.Service: 5/5
Family Sunday Lunch. The Sunday lunch was amazing. This place is a total gem and the food is delicious. My partner and I went to the Ivy in Exeter the weekend before for Sunday lunch and then the Nobody Inn this weekend. We will be returning to the Nobody Inn not only for Sunday lunch again but to also try the rest of their menu, we will not be returning to the self-clinging climber as we choose to support a very very good independent enterprise that knows how to cook and deliver. The Nobody Inn is a shining example of what great British food is all about. Thank you to all the team for delivering a wonderful Sunday lunch experience.
This is a lovely little pub offering a wide variety of ales and especially malt whiskey. I don’t think I could describe it as child friendly though. They did provide us with a high chair but there is no children’s menu- just half portions and the portions are very generous. I had fish and chips but it was a little disappointing the fish was overcooked and the batter quite soggy in places. The chips are very good and lots of them! My daughter had the Barnsley lamb which was excellent. The roads to the pub are narrow so drive carefully.
Just a magical little spot in a beautiful county. What can you say. If you're looking for a slower pace of life for the weekend this is your place. Run by a team of very lovely and efficient of mostly women who all give you a very warm welcome and are all happy to chat away while serving you delicious beer. There's an eclectic range of whiskeys. Very pleasant locals all happy to chat away. What really did it for me was the exceptional entertainment from Barley the labrador who did a very good job of making sure we were well looked after. We stayed for 3 nights and I can't say anything negative about the experience. Its not a fancy flashy hotel. But that's not what you go for. It provides a wonderful and relaxing environment for one to escape momentarily from the hubbub and drama of every day life. Would 100% recommend and I will certainly be returning. Be aware Audrey the ghost may brush past.
A wonderful stay. I loved the cool vibe of stepping back in time. I had a wonderful restful stay. Food quality was outstanding and ales were perfect. Joe was particularly outstanding but all of the Team were brilliantRooms: 5/5
Went for a meal, the pub is genuinely ancient and unspoilt, and decor to match, the atmosphere was great, reasonably busy for a Monday evening. Service okay, food nice but menu was disappointing, being basic. we visited a couple of years earlier and had a fantastic lamb cooked 3 ways. This time, it was an omelette and ham egg and chips. I have to mention the bar, quite fantastic, take a look at their website.
Had lunch there today 31july it was great I had a ploughman's it was one of the best I had. 2 young chaps served us they were very polite and helpful sevice was very good. We live local so did not need a roomService: 5/5
What a gem of find, it is off the beaten track but don't be put off by that. This is the olde worldie pub most of us dream of. Excellent staff - very friendly and helpful. Great menu, they are very famous for their pies - so mind made up really! I had the steak and ale and it was extremely good. Lovely bar with a good selection of draught ales to the most amazing selection of whisky - over 130 I believe... Our ensuite room was clean and very comfortable. Again a lovely breakfast menu, I had the full English and my partner had the fruit compote and granola. Highly recommend.
Came across this pub whilst planning to meet friends halfway between Bristol and Cornwall. The food did not disappoint - In many years of being veggie, I have never eaten a veggie roast dinner as nice as I ate last Sunday! The nut roast was delicious.. please share the recipe with me! It’s a shame you are 95miles away as I am going to try and convince our Sunday roast club in Cornwall to travel to you! Thank you again! I will be back!
Atmospheric pub a short drive from Exeter. Great Sunday roast with all the trimmings. Owners need to sort out the potholes leading to the carpark though.Service: 5/5
