I had unpleasant experience in this place. First of all the class was overcrowded, not enough space for everyone. The temperature was so high that all I could do was wiping sweat off my face the whole time instead of focusing on exercises I know it's hot yoga but yet there are limitations to the heat. Instructor was not paying individual attention that many people I guess and the worst happened at the end - one participant woman was rude to me in front of everyone, she made a nasty remark how she was disturbed by some noise from my rug, nobody said anything when they heard her talking like this. I was shocked. This is a place where people come to relax and have positive experience and instead they get more stress, I'm not even mentioning you have to pay for it. Do not recommend it to anyone. Let negative people go and stay there!
The instructors barely demonstrate and bark instructions without a care in the world if people have good form or know what they are doing. They also rarely give alternative poses if you aren't able to do something. People could seriously injure themselves....slow down and explain properly what people should be doing, and walk around the class checking form! Explain slowly, then let people hold the pose for longer. "left leg over right leg, then bend that leg forward, then raise your right arm over the left and stretch it back...." ....It literally sounds like gibberish sometimes and what you get is people actually just copying each other and not following the instructor at all. I want to pay for a class knowing that my teacher is actually going to pay attention to what I'm doing. Overall the instructors bar a couple really need to check on people more and work the room. They should also demonstrate more.
I had a deeply unpleasant experience today at the yoga studio. The receptionist's demeanor was shockingly aggressive, leaving me feeling unwelcome and traumatised. Despite attempting to explain myself, I was met with hostility and disrespect. My husband and I both have accounts and we use them interchangeably sometimes. I understand I technically can’t use his, but instead of politely and calmly addressing it, the receptionist was rude and aggressive. This type of behavior is unacceptable in any establishment, especially one that promotes well-being and positivity.
UPDATE: Heating at Kilburn is fixed, and it's brilliant So great to have the studio back in working order! The new heating system isn't producing the right level of heat, unfortunately. Yesterday the room was 31 degrees so people fighting to crowd around the space heaters. Hopefully this can be rectified as the teachers, staff, and location are all great!
The prices seriously need to be looked at. Yoga originates as a spiritual practice, shame Fierce Grace makes it inaccessible to most due to their unreasonably high prices. Looking forward to someone else opening with prices that are accessible. Especially seeing as we're in a recession! Making it quiet elitist! Shame the West always manages to monetise spirituality! Update: They're now raising prices to £130pm! I found More Yoga which is fabulous. Apart from offering a large range of exercises, the Soho studio have hot yoga . Unlimited classes are only £39.00 pm AND they're very clean studio's. Can't say the same about Firece Grace. Pure greed, clients just looked at as cash cows. Didn't even have hot water for ages! More Yoga 5 stars. Affordable as it should be hopefully Fierce Grace humble themselves and reduce they're ridiculous prices as competition begins to out do them.
Today was my first day at Fierce Grace hot yoga in Kilburn and I absolutely loved it! My body feels lighter my chakras are aligned and I feel happier because of that! The reception is great and Steve is a great teacher! I am definitely coming back next Sunday! Thank you so much!
This morning was my first time at Fierce Grace and my first time ever doing Yoga! I was panicking a bit beforehand but that soon went when I got there-a really nice bunch of people in the class and Karen, the teacher, was absolutely fantastic and made everything really clear and easy to understand. I'll be back!
Loved my experience at Fierce Grace West, the receptionist, Cristina, was so friendly upon entrance and was really helpful with any questions I had. The class itself was challenging in a way that you pushed yourself but nothing seemed impossible and the heat really helped me achieve things in my practice that I hadn’t been able to before! The facilities after class were great and I received great customer service from Natalie about attending future classes. Would definitely recommend!
Great studio the staff are super friendly and helpful and go above and beyond to make you’re experience the best it can be! Special shout out to Natalie and Leila for their amazing customer service! From your very first class to being a regular studio member they always put your needs first and will do all they can to help you out! Also the teachers at this studio are absolutely fantastic! I couldn’t recommend their classes enough, they really are the best! In terms of the studio it’s self it’s absolutely amAzing- the heat for hot yoga is great and the facilities throughout the whole studio are ideal! I honestly couldn’t recommend this place enough- to anyone thinking about starting yoga or wanting a new studio, fierce grace west is the best you can find!
Yoga great, too much music without it being spiritually enhancing. Silence especially towards the end of class would be most welcome
