I've been practicing here for years. It's the best studio I've ever been in. In part that's the welcome, more importantly are teachers. Some of the very best teachers with decades of real dedication are here, which is great partic for more advanced/experienced practitioners. And because of the teachers, there are lots of advanced practitioners We're a welcoming bunch. We were all beginners too.
Incredible. This is a 'Proper Studio'; as soon as I walked-in I felt its authenticity and history. Indaba is more than a studio to move around, its built around its beautiful and original Sangha. The staff were friendly and chatty. The studios have the old herringbone hardwood flooring that reminded me of old schools halls, gloriously receiving the natural light. The class was designed for intermediate to advanced level, however beginner options were also given. The teacher was flipping awesome too Pleasure to visit a place with such authenticity and history. A must visit in London for anyone seriously into yoga practising.
Been coming for years - my go to studio, the best teachers and nicest staff. and tea after always. other than the Friday elemental class every class is great!
At Oceanic Yoga, we are always seeking to collaborate with and learn from other esteemed yoga institutions. Recently, we had the pleasure of experiencing the offerings at Indaba Yoga Studio, and we were thoroughly impressed. Indaba Yoga Studio is a true sanctuary for yoga practitioners of all levels. The moment you step into the studio, you are greeted with a warm and inviting atmosphere that immediately sets the tone for a transformative practice. The studio’s design is both elegant and functional, providing a serene environment that enhances the overall yoga experience. The instructors at Indaba Yoga Studio are exceptional. Their expertise and passion for yoga are evident in every class, and they excel at creating an inclusive and supportive atmosphere. Each class is thoughtfully structured, offering a perfect balance of physical challenge, mindful movement, and spiritual enrichment. We were particularly impressed with the variety of classes and workshops available. Whether you are looking to deepen your practice with advanced asana, explore the subtleties of pranayama and meditation, or engage in specialized workshops, Indaba Yoga Studio has something for everyone. Indaba's commitment to community and holistic well-being aligns perfectly with our values at Oceanic Yoga. It’s clear that they are dedicated to fostering personal growth and wellness in every individual who walks through their doors. We highly recommend Indaba Yoga Studio to anyone seeking a high-quality, enriching yoga experience in London. It is truly a gem in the heart of the city, and we look forward to continuing our journey with them.
The studio puts profits before people. I will not be using them again and I advise people to think twice too. My recent experience is that I purchased a weekend immersive from the studio. Life happens and circumstances change and I could no longer attend. I asked for a refund 5 MONTHS ahead of the event. They said no. I asked if I could gift the experience to a friend who could not afford the event but would benefit. They repeatedly refused. Their T+Cs say no refund and no transfer, despite asking 5 months in advance. Their T+Cs need updating -they are unfair. Surely teachers benefit from teaching a full room and having "bums on seats." Indaba puts profits before students and teachers. I used to regularly attend yoga classes here. I will not be using again. I have head that after a change in management the studio has generally gone downhill.
Been practising for ten years best studio in europe . Family atmosphere true yogis experience . Best quality teachers in the world . The team are the best .
My favourite yoga studio anywhere. Conveniently positioned, yet with stairs providing a little separation from street level and helping to create a little pocket of calm. I've done relaxing classes here for easy days, lots of perfectly levelled ones, and stumbled into some challenging ones way beyond my level - given the wide range then, I'd suggest checking a class for the first time. Enjoyed them all though. Most of the best notes/tips/insights I've learned about yoga were from teachers at Indaba. They're all excellent. I've mostly booked through classpass and found very fair credit rates for the high quality of venue, teacher and duration. The 90 minute sessions here fly by.
I would say the teachers are great, the place is also good. Receptionists… reasonable, not particular friendly or nice or kind. But the manager there, kind of terrible! I hope this 1 star review can let him realize that how he/she can improve external communications and do the job what a manager was supposed to do better.
Only sad that I didn’t join this studio sooner after moving to London. The classes are physically great for those who want that, but all the instructors I’ve experienced have got the more important soul/philosophy at the core of it. Leave every class grounded and replenished. It feels much more intimate / friendly / a community. Recommend.
My absolute favourite place in London to visit for yoga classes. Always clean, offers complimentary tea and the reception staff are always friendly. I can't recommend this place enough if you are looking to deepen your yoga practise and wind down after a long day.
