Hosts James and Jane were very lovely and amazing hosts. Always putting us first. Room was clean and tidy. Had all amenities needed for a nice b&b getaway. Breakfasts were really good with a nice range of options. Parking was okay, sometimes hard to find out front, but only short walk to many other places. Would highly recommend and would stay again!
Excellent B&B at a convenient and quiet location. The host, James, was very friendly and helpful with directions and suggestions. Our room was clean and spacious. Breakfast was great too and with lots of options to choose from. We'd definitely stay there again!Rooms: 5/5
We had a lovely weekend at Exmoor House, Dunster. Jamie welcomed us with a drink of tea or coffee and a slice of cake, in the lovely guest lounge. Our room was excellent, plenty of room to relax and read. The bed was very comfortable. The shower worked so easily and the bathroom was well stocked with with various toiletries. The room had all the necessary tea, coffee and chocolate drinks. There was also a fridge on the landing with a jug of milk ,water and soft drinks for the guests to help themselves. Breakfast was excellent. All cooked to order in a lovely breakfast room. A very relaxing weekend. Thank you.
We had an amazing stay at Exmoor House! Our first time in bed and breakfast,and what an experience it was . Jane and James couldn’t have made us more welcome and comfortable during our couple of nights with them . Everything was thought of including the welcome coffee and cake on arrival! We are so looking forward to our next visit!, thank you Jane and James x
What a little gem. The owners Jane and James went out of their way to look after us. Excellent breakfasts and rooms with a fridge on the landing with milk and water plus extra tea bags and biscuits for those who require them a very thoughtful and clever facility to supply. Parking can be a bit hit and miss, but we were lucky to park outside a couple of times in the four days stay otherwise it would have been 5 stars all round. There are car parks quite nearby. Thank you Jane & James for making our stay so enjoyable.
This is a fabulous place to stay. Breakfast is brilliant with plenty of choice The full Exmoor was lovely. James and Jane are great hosts and nothing is too much trouble. They really did make us feel welcome. Our room was clean, spacious and comfortable. My only complaint is..... Oh, wait a minute, I don't have one. All brilliant. Highly recommend.
Loved this place so much we stayed an extra night. Jane and James are wonderful hosts, very accommodating and friendly. Our room was immaculately presented and spotlessly clean as were the guest lounges and breakfast room. Highly recommended.
Rosemary and me truly enjoy staying at Exmoor House ; James and Jane greet visitors warmly and sincerely and provide a stay of real pleasure. They maintain high standard throughout ;the bedrooms are scrupulously clean, there's a wide choice of breakfast and, if choosing a cooked one - top notch! Dunster and Exmoor are great places to visit and Exmoor House makes a warm, friendly and wonderful base. Rooms: Kept to scrupulously clean standard - bathrooms, bed and furnishings excellent. Nearby activities: Dunster is the gateway to the many varied beautiful walks of Exmoor and the admirable coastal villages - there's much to do and enjoy.
A lovely B&B with a pub right next door! The room was comfortable and clean and the breakfast was lovely and really nicely cooked. The hosts James and Jane were very friendly and helpful. Dunster has an interesting castle and is a lovely little town that makes an ideal base to explore Exemoor and the north Somerset coast. I would certainly like to stay here another time if I come this way again.
We had a wonderful couple of nights at Exmoor house -I'm only sorry we weren't staying for longer! We had a beautiful room, with lots of very thoughtful touches and it was impeccably clean. On arrival we had a very warm welcome, and the owners were so lovely -we burst a tyre on the way there and they went out of their way to help us, we couldn't have asked for more. There's a lovely living room space, and the dining room is airy and felt very safe. Breakfast was super, definitely worth getting out of bed for, even the morning after a wedding party! There was a good choice -and again, lots of thoughtful touches. I have a dairy allergy and nothing was too much trouble - my husband is a great breakfast connoisseur! and thoroughly enjoyed his stay. Dunster is a picturebook delightful village, although there is zero phone reception there is excellent wifi at Exmoor house which may be a plus or negative depending on your opinion. Minehead is only a short drive with plenty of amenities shops, fuel etc but Dunster itself feels like a hideaway. We felt very lucky to have found this little gem and will certainly be coming again if we are lucky enough to be back down.
