Myself and my family have been using this hotel from not long after its opening. We have always been happy with the room, and the staff have always been cheery and helpful. As my elderly mother has moved from Minehead I will now have to find another reason to come down and use it!
It was a greatsm stay. Location is really nyand perfect. Near to the town centre and there are lot's of options for nearby stores. Petrol station is just next to the hotel.nBreakfast was nice and tasty with usual Premier inn.nOne less strat as we need to pay extra for the parking, but it's clearly mentioned and The self check in machine was out of order.nWalking distance to the beach , will really recommend this.nStaff is very friendly and helpful.
14/12/25nTerrible, genuinely one of the worse premier inn I’ve stayed in and I’ve stayed in a lot. We stayed here 1 day before we started our Butlin’s holiday walked into hotel no one at the reception. Stood there a few minutes then come walks out a man Justin No hello, no smile, no proper interaction and goes straight to the computer, “surname” is all he said then he gave me my key, we booked a twin room, I’ve never booked with 3 adults we’re all 23 before but was under the impression this was fine, no funny business just a room to stay at before we begin our holiday. He asks us if we’re all staying in the room and we say yeah, he says we can’t do that without explaining why, I’ve never booked for 3 before so I never knew, then takes the key off me and says you won’t be staying here till you’ve booked another room. The hotels half empty and I’ve had to pay an extra £52 for another room on the spot, he made me do this on the app no offer to help me try get a better price or do it on the system for me, stood at his computer in silence till I did it, then when I’ve booked the other room he says, it’s just because we can’t determine whether you’re going to have 8 of you in the room so that’s our rule. Clearly it’s just 3 of us and we was just staying for one night we turned up at like 7pm. This if after 5hours of traveling. I’m not that upset about their policy it’s how rude he was and there was zero customer service or care for attention to make our stay feel nicer. After this I didn’t even want to be in the hotel but since ive just payed the £7 parking fee which is also absurd. First time I’ve been to a premier inn and they’ve charged me, the car parks also half empty. As well as this the shower water pressure is very weak, there is a hole in the wall leading to the bathroom. And the smell of the room was a bit strange. The other room my friend stayed in was fine though so might just of been my unlucky day. We then decided we wanted to go for some food to the brewers fayre next door at 8:30pm it says online that they shut at 10:30 on a Sunday but when we turned up they said they close in half hour so we had to be quick if we wanted to eat, so we decided to leave it. Their customer service and professionalism on the other hand was a lot better and the lady was lovely. Definitely put a smile on my face after the premier inn customer service even though their times online was wrong.
Your standard premier inn room,nHeating didn't work no matter what temperature I set all it did was blow out cold air. The WiFi was pants I swear it's spotty on purpose so they can ring more money out of you with the ultimate WiFi add on.nDinner options were nice but breakfast was a let down it was plated service so I was expecting a hot cooked breakfast but it was all luke warm at best, bar the black pudding that was actually steaming.nIt wasn't all bad the shower was great and the TV actually let me screencast to it, and it was nice and quiet.
Stayed for 3 nights. In general I found the hotel to be what I expected for a premier Inn. Proper single beds and not a double and couch. Clean tidy and it all seemed to work. Quiet nights sleep . Staff were good. I had issues like everyone else with room cards not working all the time. The giveaway is if they won’t open the lift. No point going to your room.nThe Brewers Fayre was something else. Staff were great, but Whitbread must treat them like dirt. Always short staffed and that caused issues and delays. One night they ran out of glasses. They worked hard to keep things going , but it was make or break at times. Food was as expected. Fried or grilled. There are discounts around if you look or have a BLC. The meal deal would be cheap. Biggest rip off is the car park . It’s a mile out of town who else would park there? £7. Not really fair is it ? WiFi was worthless . Never once got internet
