Blatantly lied to my face about the car I was looking at, forgot about the fact that I need vision to own a driving license. More interested in the commission than the buyers needs. Only gets two stars because the coffee was above average.

Avoid at all costs. Great at selling and signing you up to a finance deal, terrible at customer service and sorting the car out when it has an issue. Car started showing engine faults with in the first couple of weeks. Car was taken in to be looked at. Fault was diagnosed, which would be a large cost to Evans Halshaw. Manager (John) told my partner he would ring us back with in a week. Never rang back, so after a few weeks we rang to be told told he had left / no longer worked there and there was no record of the conversation. Do yourself a favour - Save some money... Stay away. Don't buy anything from these guys. These are cowboys in smart suits.

I bought car from them last year and process was ok and I left happy. Just had car in for MOT with them and this time was not so good. My partner dropped in car for me on the afternoon as I was at work and was told they would contact me. 3 hours later I rang them to find out any news as it was coming to the end of the working day and I needed my car the next day, but the phone just rang continuously. By the time I did get an answer I was told that they'd just passed it and we're going to ring but had been busy. I asked if I could collect it now and was told yes but they close at 6. This was at 5.45. not enough time to get there, leaving me without my car for the next day. After having to arrange to leave work early the next day, I went to collect it. They couldn't find the cars file so had no mot certificate to give me but assured they would post it. They did assure me my car was all cleaned and handed over the key. On collection it was obvious my car hadn't been cleaned at all. Going back to complain I was asked if I could leave the car? No, I have to get to work in it. So I now have to take it over on Saturday morning for "a wash and a hoover out". All in all the general service has been pretty rubbish and I'm quite underwhelmed by the whole experience. Definitely won't use them again.

AVOID EVANS HALSHAW STOCKTON AT ALL COSTS!!! Terrible communication, rude staff and bad management. I saw a used car online which was at another site, so I paid a £200 deposit to have this car moved. The Evans Halshaw website states that it would take 7-10 days for the car to be moved. Two weeks later I’d had one telephone conversation with a salesperson from Stockton (Which I instigated) so I decide to ring to see If the car was actually on site or when it was due to arrive. After several attempts of trying to get through to one of the sales team I was eventually put through to a very rude and unprofessional salesman. I ended the call disgusted and thought how do Evans Halshaw actually stay in business treating customers the way I’ve been treated. With having no joy at Stockton, I then phoned the other site in which the car was being moved from, to then be told it had never been booked or asked to be moved in the first place!!!!! I have bought many cars and dealt with different dealerships over my lifetime but Stockton Evans Halshaw is by far the worst!

The staff at Stockton Dealership are exceptionally patient and professional in their approach. Totally faultless and excellent service. Well done and thank you. They labour under the pressure however, of an out of date Head Office managed telephone system, which is totally frustrating for the customer and must be frustrating for the staff at the dealerships aswell. Wisen up Evans Halshaw Head Office, change your telphone system please!
