Great! It was a great experience. I checked in before on the internet, so it only took about 10 minutes to get the car. I got car upgrade for free and it was an excellent car. The attendants were very nice and explained everything to me very well. As I was in Edinburgh city center I took the local bus line, £1.8 but I had to walk 10mins to the rental, not bad. There is shuffle at the airport, but I didn't opt ​​for that. I paid unlimited mileage because it's clear on the internet the 200 mile limit, that's fine. I paid for full coverage because I found it more convenient, but it's optional and I didn't feel pressured. The car was clean and fully loaded. Would recommend and would do it all again.
If you want to start your vacation by being stressed out, then choose Drivalia. We booked everything properly online but still had to wait almost ONE HOUR at this place before we got our car as they couldn't sort out their card terminal there was only ONE, no extra terminals. We used a foreign credit card and even called our bank to ask if it was a problem on our side but nope, it was their terminal issue. But the Indian employee refused to take responsibility and had the cheek to ask us to try using the card somewhere else before using it to pay for the car rental. Where is the logic?? We were also forced to pay extra for insurance, and the employee made it sound like a threat if we didn't. Seriously, hire better employees. Went through all these hassles after a whole day of flying AND a tired, hungry toddler. Zero considerations from them. We booked the car Wednesday through Sunday, but was not told about any specific instructions for drop-off. Imagine our surprise when we arrived on Sunday morning and the office was closed. There was not even a box to drop off the keys. We had to leave the keys with a kind bus shuttle driver. The opening hours were mentioned clearly on the front door - Sunday 6 am. We were there at 6:35 am and the doors were still locked, lights still out. And yes, we called the number on the door but nobody answered. The only thing greeting us was this garbage bin full to the brim. We do not recommend this place at all. Go for something more reliable like Hertz etc. You'll have that peace of mind, at least. Never again!!!
Rented a 9 seater van for a family holiday; a PVMR category which stands for premium passenger van. The premium van had no speakers or heating vents in the back. The lack of heating acutely felt by all the passengers in the back. I also received the van with a busted side mirror and was told that this is the only car available of the size I needed. I was offered no alternatives or discounts so had to take it as the family was waiting already and we had to get going. As well as that - as a local resident - I was required to produce 2 forms of address verification, something that was NOT mentioned on the pick up voucher. Luckily a digital copy was accepted and I could get both on my phone. It was a very stressful pick up experience. Fortunately there were no issues with drop off, that went smoothly. However, I will never use them again because of the pick up stress.
Booking was easy - pre check in was easy - handover was shocking - on inspection of vehicle - every panel was damaged and not recorded on handout form, n/s/f tyre was very low pressure - interior had not even had a clean steering wheel was covered in oil or grease, 15 miles in range for fuel - rear doors of van did not secure shut and rear of van was full of last users waste. When I offered this feedback I was met with “that’s impossible” so not only have you poor checks and maintaining processes the stock response makes customers feel like a liar. No apologies, and no attempt to resolve… I mentioned I will post the pictures on feedback and was then met with the comment “okay” No empathy for the extra time to dump cooker and tv and then clean out van of all the smashed glass before I could use… no offer of partial refund no attempt to offer any good will. Never use again
This is definitely on the lower/ cheaper end of car rental places but we had a great experience. Called the shuttle when we landed at the airport and the coach arrived in about 10 minutes. 10 minute ride to the rental car office. Getting our car was a smooth process. We had a pleasant chat with Scott. And then they upgraded our car for free! Much better experience than Green Motion the last time we were here. Would definitely hire a car from Easirent again.
Easy shuttle pick up from the airport. Wait to be seen in the office was 15-20 min. Employee was polite but forced us to buy insurance $300 even though I already had my own rental insurance and provided proof of insurance. Car was given to us on empty with a few miles to get us to a gas station. “Service soon” light was on all week. Passenger back tire had to be filled every single morning. Drop off was fast. Would not recommend to anyone based on insurance BS and issues with car.
The rental went really well. After you work out that the bus to the car hire facility is at bus stop number seven, call the number, and you will be collected. The trip is a few minutes away, but the staff were pretty efficient. There is a hefty deposit to put on your credit card, but only slightly more than being taken as an excess in Spain, for instance. Anyway, let's get on to the good stuff. I am writing this after my GBP 1500 deposit was fully put back on my credit card. Thank you. The car was exactly what I ordered. It was also smart and very clean. The whole process didn't take too long, and I was on my way. The return was very simple too. We all look at other customers reviews and sometimes fear the worst when we read a bad one. I can only say that my experience was very good. I met nice people who got the job done efficiently. Thank you and keep up the good work.
If you want a spoiled vacation, choose Easirent. The company is really far from the airport, you can't walk there. Working hours from 6 AM, they started picking up the phone only after 7 AM. The car was handed over quite politely and friendly. There was a quarter of fuel in the tank. How to return with a quarter? But this is not a problem when comparing what happens next. I am traveling from Edinburgh to Aberdeen. The other day, when I stopped at the shopping center and returned to the car, I felt that the clutch was gone and I could not shift gears. I'm calling Easirent. The girl who worked on October 15 is very rudely repeating the same thing over and over again, you damaged our car. Do you need a service car? I answered yes. She explains to me that the service car can take me to the hotel or the airport and I will not get a replacement car. I said I needed a replacement car. They say no, you damaged our car. I'm waiting for a service car. Arrived after more than 4 hours. I rented in Edinburgh but broke down in Aberdeen. When the service representative arrived, he smelled it and asked what happened. I told him what was wrong with the car. Without hesitation, he stated that the clutch was not burnt, it was not the fault of the driver. It's a hydraulic clutch and the cylinder has lost fluid and the clutch is gone. He told me that I got a broken car. He will write an official report in the evening and they must give me a replacement car. Must be delivered to my address. I call Easirent in the morning, the same girl says the same thing, you damaged our car, you don't get a replacement car. When I called another number, I was offered to go to Aberdeen Airport to a branch and there they would give me a replacement car. How do I get there? I called a taxi, paid 30 pounds. Aberdeen employee says I know nothing, uninformed. Took my broken down car to him at the dealership. There was another KIA parked nearby with the same fault : After talking with Edinburgh, they offered me a 3-seater commercial vehicle. There are four of us traveling, so I refuse. Then they give me a 9-seater minibus. All circled, rear seats buckled, stinks. My wife was upset, she vomited. I have never had so much stress driving such a big car. The tank is empty again. My half-full tank of petrol was left in the broken-down car. I don't want to deal with this company anymore. And whether you want it, decide for yourself.
Great experience from start to finish. Shuttle bus picked us up from the airport within 10 minutes. We did not have to wait too long at the Drivalia check in area and our car was brilliant. Our main contact that day was Darren and he was superb, exceptional customer service skills with the added bonus of being lovely to chat to! Highly recommend them. Their prices are always brilliant and they are the best “off airport site” car hire company I’ve ever dealt with. We’ve used them for the past couple of years for our trips to Dundee and will continue to do so going forward. In summary, they’re quick, efficient, friendly and cheap which ticks all boxes for me!
My family and I went for a compact car and got a nice and fully equipped Mazda. The booking process was straightforward, the pickup from airport and getting the car quick. The car was in a good condition and also got a navigation System. We really enjoyed driving the car. To end our experience we had a uncomplicated return of the car. Good job guys! Will book again with you, you’re prices and service are unbeatable! Thank you.
