Absolutely wonderful! Stayed with my husband and 2 boys age 7 and 3. Had a very relaxing, quiet weekend away. The views are breathtaking and my boys spent every minuite they could on the shared playground area. We stayed in the Willoughby lodge and the hot tub is huge! Everything you need is taken care of, even had a nice welcome package upon arrival :
Just had 4days in little owl Lodge the photos do not do this place justice it's absolutely gorgeous with quirky little ornaments Sue the owner is so welcoming and friendly, the lodge is spotless and has everything you need ,a welcome pack was a lovely touch ,I can see why people return time after time we have booked already for next year 5* accommodation absolutely recommend
We had a long week-end stay in one of the lodges, the facilities are excellent and the way the lodge was designed, built and finished is exceptional. Despite feeling you are in the middle of nowhere there are dozens of attractions within easy driving range including Beamish Museum and Durham City. Another plus is the fact that takeaways nearby will deliver. Altogether a lovely place to stay.

Gorgeous location. We're staying at Little Owl Lodge and its like being at home away from home. All moderm amenities and even a hot tub! The veiws are stunning and the owner is super lovely. We will deffinately be booking to come back!
On our way for a second stay at these delightful lodges. Beatifully appointed and in such a peaceful location. Owners are helpful with local knowledge. Wonderful ,large hot tub overlooking fields towards coast.
We have just spent a midweek break at Penny Lodge. Last year we spent February half term in Little Owl Lodge. We would recommend them to any one. It's an ideal location for us with family near by. I would imagine we'll be back next year
Beautifully kept lodges, in a quiet, peaceful area. Lovely for a family break with all you need to relax. Owner friendly and helpful.
Fantastic stay in an amazing lodge..... this is a very peaceful and relaxing place to be, perfect family break or romantic getaway, I would highly recommend staying at Durham coastal lodges
