A friendly local pub. A bit cold inside I would say. But very pleasant staff & no trouble. So convenient for public transport.
Toilets are as bad as the staff all scruffy looking really needs a deep clean and new decor. I get it’s just a stopping point for a train but they should take pride in the place and make it more inviting for people.
Excellent wee bar best spot in town to get train home, friendly staff prices reasonably good for city centre, friendliest funniest most accommodating bouncer I have ever met will defo visit again if I could give 6 stars I would so here!
Function hall was so cold had to wear jackets whole night and cheap for 4 drinks but dearer for 2 so god knows how they mark prices on same drinks. It's like chose Ur own price. Never paid same amount for same round.
Great bar for last one before the train as it's right beside queen street station and the sub way weekends karaoke central.. lively atmosphere
It took a pandemic to bring this great wee boozer into the 21st century!! LOL. Used to be a "cash-only" pub, but I'm told by the staff that they now have not one - but TWO card machines!! Drink prices are about average for city-centre, and they have a reasonable choice of drinks, though if you're a "heavy" bitter, to any English folks! drinker, they only appear to have Belhaven Best on draught. Cider on tap appears to only be Strongbow. If you fancy a quick drink before you catch your train or one of the local buses, then pop in! The ladies behind the bar will make you feel very welcome!!
Train was cancelled so came here for a pint while I waited. Directly opposite queen Street side entrance. Was rather busy as was expected for a town centre/train station bar. Didn't have to wait long to get served. The bar itself could have done with a bit of a clean up, didn't once see any of the staff clean the bar in the hour and a half I was here and there were 4 members of staff in at one point. The staff themselves were friendly and polite and a bit of eye candy which is always a bonus. The prices are pretty steep here. Not sure if that's because of the location they know they can charge that much, but there are also a few other bars in the area that are cheaper if you could be bothered walking up to a hundred meters. Can't remember the last time I paid almost £5 for a pint. Next time a train is cancelled and I fancy a drink, I think I'll check out a different bar. Would recommend if your knackered and fancy a pint, but if you want a drinking session then I'd definaltly get yourselves a bankloan.
Handy pub for a beer or whatever before going for your train, service was good and so was the music .
Been in a few times whilst waiting on the train. Was served by gillian, fantastic barmaid. friendly, engaging and interesting. Would definitely visit this pub again due to warm welcome you get. 5 star.
