Superior King with river view - perfect, loved it. A cut above where have previously stayed in vicinity. Breakfasts were amazing, so much choice and very efficient service and staff. Lovely bar with great cocktail options and other seating areas to chill out and relax in. Bathroom with walk in shower good size, plenty of room. It was so warm during our stay but we had air-con and you could open the window so that was a bonus. Hotel staff all efficiently, helpful and friendly.
Perfect location for ovo hydro and easy to park in multi storey attached. Staff were really amazing, as was our room who requested the top floor at reception! Ben in the restaurant struck up a lovely friendship with my youngest, and was so kind to my oldest son who has special needs. Really nice guy and made our trip extra special Rooms: 5/5
The hotel is new. Room is spacious with good amenities. Riverview is good. Staff are mostly friendly, though one female receptionist was cold. You can rent umbrella with 2 pounds for 2 days. A minor drawback is a bit distant from downtown if you walk. Best way to arrive is by train at stop Exhibition centre.Rooms: 5/5
I Had my mother in law stay here I was embarrassed when I I walked in to her room and someone’s spilled wine all over the rooms carpet? Not clean here. The bedsheets etc not fresh or new……? Really ? I booked this place a Marriott, supposedly a higher standard. Bianca the self-appointed manager had employees enter my locked room with do not disturb on the door. Sick That’s the last straw for me I will not be staying at this hotel ever again. Stay at the MOXY before here I would rather do the ikea meets EZ Jet meets McDonald’s bathroom stall before here .
We were in town for a convention so the location was perfect. It's a nice hotel, looks new. The rooms are very nice although we did a have a bit of problem with a too cold AC and I'm from Texas so yes, this was cold! Would stay again.Rooms: 5/5
We had booked this hotel through our convention, and it turned out to be a wonderful choice. I can't praise the staff highly enough. Everyone we encountered, from reception to housekeeping to restaurant, was just brilliant. They worked with our mobility vendor so our Rise & Recline chair and mobility scooter were waiting for us on check-in, which was a great relief. Room was spacious and comfortable, with lots of options for connecting electronics, including USB ports at the outlets and on the alarm clock. We acquired COVID at the convention, so needed to cancel our travel plans and isolate. Staff were uniformly wonderful in assisting us even before that happened. They were able to move us to another room our accessible room was already booked when we needed to extend our booking. We had arranged with our mobility vendor Blue Sky, also wonderful to swap for a smaller scooter when we thought we would be traveling on, which made the smaller room workable. They brought the vendor up to move the chair and swap the scooters so I didn't need to go down to meet them. The full breakfast buffet was wonderful. Dinner had a somewhat limited menu, but the food was always delicious we had the tomato-basil soup and bruschetta multiple times. There's no room service, but they'll provide trays and utensils so you can take food up to the room. I used our wheelchair as a combination walker and trolley for that. There was a mini-fridge VERY mini in the room, and a "public" microwave next to reception. Location is next to a car park and the SEC campus & station. There are multiple restaurants and a grocery within walking distance scooter distance in our case. Highly recommended.
Amazing hotel! Right next door to the OVO hydro for the gig we went too! They went above and beyond giving us chocolates, prosecco and desserts for our anniversary. Breakfast was top notch and great quality. Room was super comfy and staff were super helpful. They also let us leave our cases when we arrived early for check-in. They also played blink-182 in the bar after the gig!
Do not stay!!! STOLE MY PERSONAL ITEMS FROM MY ROOM !!! Refuse to check cameras even though provided with a police reference number your personal things are not safe I would not recommend business travel to this hotel I stayed here on a work trip fully paid for firstly I told them from the start there is a card on file work are covering my meals and was told they don’t have that email I then later get proof that they were infact sent this email.. I also left 2 shopping bags with expensive shoes which have grown legs and apparently now they can’t find after already telling me to arrange collection! I had to put a note on the bed everyday asking them to clean No rubbish was taken out food left from night before I am still dealing with this and house keeper conveniently can’t find my belongings Safety: Not safe leaving your stuff in your room
I had the pleasure of recently staying at this hotel to see at a concert at the Hydro, and I was left incredibly impressed. Right away, the staff were all extremely helpful and a delight to chat to. I felt very welcomed as I entered the hotel, the staff member I spoke to at reception was the most pleasent and easy to chat to at any hotel I've ever stayed at. The room was what you'd expect, clean and tidy with a decent amount of room, but the highlight was the view outside of River Clyde that even the standard rainy Scottish weather couldn't spoil. The bar was very good, reasonly priced and a nice selection of drinks, but this was topped easily by the wonderful morning breakfast. Easily one of the best hotel buffets I've ever had, couldn't muster a complaint at all. Lastly, a big plus was the location, having it so near the Hydro mean't less time spent walking back in the pouring rain. Overall a truly incredible experience and one hotel that I guarantee I'll return to in the near future.
Had an overnight stay as going to a show at the Ovo Hydro. This is a few minutes walk from hotel. Staff lovely and very helpful. Only downfall was menu did not have a lot of choice but food lovely. Discount on parking. Picked up a hop on tourist bus just across the road which was very handy. Have stayed a few times as so easy to just walk across the road instead of taking hours to get out of car park after a show. Will definitely be back again. Lovely hotel. Rooms: Room was lovely and clean. Shower great and had a fridge which was great as it was a very hot day so grateful for it. Nearby activities: Picked up hop on hop off tourist bus a few minutes walk away outside the Ovo Hydro. £18 per adult but well worth it. Couldn't stop at a few stops as there was a big football match on. Saw bits of Glasgow that I hadn't seen before. Definitely worth doing. Also right beside the river, lovely to walk to various places, eg science museum, Riverside museum, into town Walkability: Very close to walking along river, tourist bus stop, Riverside museum, science museum.
